Alrighty, the gist of it is that my current phone plan is coming to an end, and before investing in either a new phone or a new plan I'd like to see my options as far as a PDA or Smartphone goes.
Currently I need it for the following and would prefer the overall functionality of a newer device compared to just a standard cell phone.
>>> 3G Enabled Internet
>>> MSN Messenger
>>> Emails
>>> Sending/Receiving SMS + MMS
>>> Making Calls (Yes of course I want it to do that)
Now of course they do a lot more than that, but they usually do the 2nd and 3rd one a lot more efficiently, and it makes you look successful when you show it off... a real winner in the rich-man race.
I took a look at the Nokia N810 first off since it's fairly new, but I didn't see anything anywhere about 3G enabled internet, I NEED the internet for when I'm on the go, but because I couldn't find any info on it I was hesitant to buy it, do you need to go to a telecommunications company first or what?
That's my main concern anyway, but for the time being if you could recommend me a decent and functional smartphone that does everything I want it to at an affordable price (think N810 affordable) I'd like to hear about it.
Thank you... ^^

What carrier are you on? That makes a fairly big difference.
I'm kind of psyched on the Pantech Duo or Dual or something like that from AT&T. $100 after rebates and 2 year contract (which would make things cheaper anyway). Has all that stuff, I believe.

Ooooooh I like the looks of that one a lot!
At the moment (I assume by carrier you mean service provider), I'm with Telstra who are really shit for their internet plans, what I had intended on doing was buying a smartphone separately and then dealing with the plan later, chances are I'd have to go on a 3 cap deal ( http://three.com.au ), as it would be the most cost effective, but anyway now that I've seen the Pantech Duo that's looking a lot more toward what I'm wanting.
Thanks, though if anyone else can offer something better I'd like to hear it. (I'm in australia btw).

Get one that flips out/into a keyboard, those are great for text and instant messaging.

That's exactly what the Pantech Duo is. I'm totally getting one after my bonus and tax-refund.
Verizon also has similar phones that are like that one. They're built for texting and stuff with the QWERTY keyboard, but I don't know if they're on 3G. But as far as smart phones go, I'd never buy one without a flip out QWERTY keyboard. Just doesn't make sense to me.
