Title: 2 Week Gamemaking - Question Thread
Post by: Foxtrot on April 15, 2008, 12:02:51 am
I'm seriously sorry if there is already something like this but direct me to it please.  :) Me myself haev alot of questions about the competition and other members may have some too. So hopefully Sarevok will notice this thread and answer questions. Please don't think this is me trying to show authority because I'm not a moderator or anyone special, infact I'm a noob to these forums. Ok, here are my question, if you can answer them, please do even if you're not Sarevok.

Do I have to use custom characters and tilesets? I'm not quite sure on the definition of 'No RTP-only'.

You can use RTP graphics if you want. However, custom graphics are preferred and will probably net you a higher chance of winning.

The reason he said "No RTP-only" is, if you read his topic carefully, your game will be disqualified if it is not stand-alone. He refuses to download any annoying files other than your game package. So if you REALLY want to use RTP, make sure the graphics are packed in your game folder download.

This is my interpretation of the rules

This is a bit of a redundant thread, but I will answer. Yeah ASE has it spot on. IF you HAVE to use rtp (whyyyyyyy) then package it into the game. But only the rtp you use I don't want to download 80+mb of stuff on every game and it's not even used
