Hey.

I'm working on a non GW-related project and it would be pretty sweet if you could help me de :cheese: cide the direction of a couple of aspects by answering the following questions:

Yeah I make a lot of music, albums, I like to work on games and I do video-editing stuff as well. Primarily music though.

When looking for something in terms of entertainment or art, what would you be most likely to type into a search engine?
Honestly I have pre-favourited sites that I go to for almost anything I look for and I didn't really find them through search-engines. I would usually go by word of mouth of a friend or I will ask friends what they use or I picked the link up from a blog.

If you were admin for a day and wanted to cater to your own interests, what features would you add to GW?
Everything is already pretty much covered by music-creation and Film Media but I had a pretty heavy say in getting these things added in the first place. So I guess I have already achieved this!

In the same vein, what would you remove from GW?
I wouldn't so much "remove" it but I would seriously edit G&D to try and focus more on all aspects of game making rather than just POTS YOUR RM2K GAME.

In terms of creativity, how many teams or groups are you currently in online?
None :(

What do you like the most in a game?
I'm a little short on time here so I can't really answer this right now. However I do enjoy a challenge and I like games that are designed well enough to not frustrate me while playing. I like to feel like it is my own fault that I have died and not a fault of the game, that way I am motivated to continue and get better at the game.

Have you ever finished a production, such as a game or an album, from beginning to end? If so, how many and what were they?
A couple of shitty electro albums, I've lost count of how many.

When looking for something in terms of entertainment or art, what would you be most likely to type into a search engine?
I don't usually type stuff into a search engine like Google if I want entertainment or art, I visit the sites that have this content ready for me. So it's easier for me (and for a lot of people, I think) to just mention a few sites:

And a bunch of others, but I don't want to turn this into a link topic!

If you were admin for a day and wanted to cater to your own interests, what features would you add to GW?
Well, on GW, my interests are pretty much limited to just discussion. I'm very non-productive on this site these days. (Not like that's ever been different, though!) I think General has been pretty lousy lately, and it needs the attention from people who can make good topics and punch the forum back into shape, but that's hardly something you can instigate with a rule.

In the same vein, what would you remove from GW?
Call me crazy, but I don't see the point of having two entertainment forums (Crap Shack and Post 9/11 World). So Chef wants to turn his forum into something more interesting. That's probably a good idea, and we should see how it develops, but in the meantime, all it seems to have done is add another layer of elitism. People are afraid to post in the "more elite" entertainment forum because it's being advertised as having a certain level of quality.

Then again, I'm probably very wrong or ignorant about this because I'm not exactly an expert on this anyway!

In terms of creativity, how many teams or groups are you currently in online?
Just one, the Faceless group, and I'm not even doing anything in there. I'm kind of just LURKING and watching the whole thing for now. Thankfully, people have started calling it "Hundley's game", instead of "Dada's game", which is vehemently incorrect!

What do you like the most in a game?
Well, that's difficult to explain. Games need to have a certain level of aesthetic and playability that makes me realize that those who made it were very passionate about their product and willing to go great lengths to pound it into the shape of their liking. For some reason, I get this feeling a lot more when I play old games, but that's mostly because I'm fairly out of touch with new products.

Have you ever finished a production, such as a game or an album, from beginning to end? If so, how many and what were they?
Not a game or album. I was never really serious about those. I did successfully become a web design professional, in case that counts. And I made Quake and Mega Man speedruns.

Hey, the only reason I'm still here is because the people here are somewhat clever. This is one of the places that isn't infested with Ron Paul fanatics, for example. The people here are actually interesting, and the discussions I've had here really helped me gain a better understanding things. I feel like I'm getting something in return for my time spent. That's good, we should keep that!

um, yes i suppose but maybe not. i make some music and sometimes like to do web designs, graphics work (although this is so not serious work), and programming stuff.

compelling/new gameplay. storyline and graphics dont mean much, i want it to be fun to play

I make music, pixel art, and games. Sometimes I draw, but only anime peoples would be interested in seeing them.

I use google to research stuff either for drawing, games, or looking for music, but generally I go to specific sites, and don't have anything that I am most likely to type in google. Maybe there is but I have a terrible memory.

To be able to make each forum re-arrangeable by the user, so if they didn't want to go to Resources for example, they could put it on the bottom. I certainly wouldn't know how to code that though.

I search stuff on youtube and wikipedia. Youtube for some funny and weird movies that would make me laugh and wikipedia got some interesting infos about everything which reading is a sort of entertainment for me. I search something like paranormal, funny, pixel art, photo edit, [interesting ][/interesting] art.

I suppose I'm part of an internet music-making collective that three friends and myself comprise.  It's not really an OFFICIAL group, especially since only two of us are really active now.

Creativity, gameplay and MUSIC.  I cannot stress how important that last factor is...it can literally make or break a game for me in most cases.

Unfortunately, no.  I've come close to finishing one of my games in the past (Bubble Trouble 2), but I lost the project in an HD crash.  I haven't completed an album, either, as I've only been making music for a short while.

i think it would be neat if there were individual user blogs. i kind of remember there being some a while ago, i remember seeing tft's development blog on rainbow nightmare, but it would be neat if there were some that catered more than to just vidcons.

Usually torrents and YouTube if I am looking for entertainment. Or hey, even last.fm is pretty good for entertainment now.

Probably a main site!! Also uh.. Make the games section into a wiki of sorts so that anyone can provide information.

GW is fine as is. It does needs things added, not removed.

Replayability. If it feels like a different adventure each play, then I'm sold. This works for fighring games too, which is probably my favourite genre now.

Lost Chapters 1 and 2, both in the year 2000 on RPG Maker 2000. Also finished three or four Mario World hacks.

UH i do not know.  I dont do that very much.

Finish the mainsite (but hey I guess that's what you're doing). Other than that I wouldn't change anything.

Possibly remove/merge some of the less-active forums. Probably nothing.

Don't know if short stories count (since they are short by definition), but I have a few of those, and a novella, but that was for a class so it might not count. I've completed a few graphics templates for spriters. I have two or three short RM games, mostly ones that were done for contests or as minigames to show off graphics or a battle system or something. Nothing big has been finished yet.
