I desire a new webcam (I don't know why, I don't even like using them)
My webcams always seem to be far inferior to everyone else's.

This is a sample of my old ghetto Kodak webcam that doesn't work on my new computer.

This is a sample of my new ghetto Nexxtech webcam that I Inherited. I really don't like it. The picture is TINY and can barely fit my enormous head and it's always really blurry unless I adjust the focus JUST right and stay perfectly still. Even then, I think this picture is an example of me trying to do that.
So what's a good brand of webcam? And what is the price?

Basically most Logitech webcams are solid. Might want to check out the Logitech QuickCam Fusion or the QuickCam Communicate STX. They're about 60 and 40 USD respectively.

My friend was fed up with shitty webcams, so he just got a really cheap digital camera that could be hooked up as one. Looks sharp as hell now.

Dude. Get one of these. http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/webcam_communications/webcams/devices/3480&cl=us,en
It's like having a freaking ROBOT stare at you. And it's not a bad cam to boot.

wait can you use that to turn yourself into a talking 3D parrot?

just save your money to spend on a wicked awesome lap tizzle like mine - amazing build in webcam and a tablet and light scribe and more fun stuff its only 800 now.... why is life so beautifuL!?!? ;_;
no but actually, i find the external ones all suck. i have at least 4 different ones, none of them come close to matching the one on my lap top - even the most expensive ($40 - $50) ones...

Zath, you can usually use your camera when you plug it in. Most good cameras (like the one you're always using) should be able to do it.
