You go around slaughtering zoo animals, in Mexico!!!
Cause Mexico is brutal, we all know. Screw Mario Kart Wii, I wanna slaughter some animals.

That is a pretty fun looking game and along with Gyrostarr High Voltage Software is looking to be one of the better supporters on WiiWare outside of Hudson third party wise. My first day list (pending release schedule) consists of:
1. Lost Winds
2. Gyrostarr
3. Defend Your Castle
And I might end up picking up one of Hudson's titles if they make it in time, either Alien Crush or Bomberman.

I haven't seen or heard anything of WiiWare but the Everybody's Pokemon Ranch, and that looks like total garbage. I'm hoping I keep my wii long enough to play one of these.

Everybody's Pokemon Ranch is pretty much just an elaborate Pokemon Box (like the GCN game) but for WiiWare. However, aside from storing your Pokemon you do other stuff with them and have them pose with your Mii and take snapshots and all that stuff.
There are far more interesting WiiWare games out there... FF:CC, Lost Winds, Gyrostarr, Plattchen, Dr. Mario/ Virus Buster, World of Goo, Eternity's Child... and so on and so forth.

WiiWare launched yesterday in North America. I planned on getting two games, Lost Winds and Defend Your Castle, though I've only got Lost Winds at the moment.
It's a simple game, but they really created a project that seems like it could only be as it is by being on Wii. Controlling two characters independently of one another through both sets of the wiimote/nunchuck combo and the interaction you have with the game world from merely affecting foreground and background objects with slight breezes simply from moving Enril (the wind spirit) with the IR, or using abilities earned later in the game to manipulate fire and water to solve increasingly more elaborate puzzles. I'm only 45 minutes in but I'm really enjoying the game.
Why in the world it took WiiWare to really see something like this (although there are indeed quite a few Wii games that do justice by the new controller) is beyond me, but if this is the kind of stuff we can expect see more of on WiiWare, then I can't wait to see how things shape up beyond the projects we already know. Interestingly enough, apparently a sequel to LW is already in the works which is indeed quite jawesome. Anyway, supposedly throughout May, new WiiWare releases will come weekly (originally, a Nintendo rep stated that releases would be limited to biweekly or monthly or something since the Virtual Console is still updating alongside this after the WiiWare launch week) so I'll probably hold off on Defend Your Castle just to see if Gyrostarr (another game I'm looking forward to, seems like a mix between F-Zero and a shmup) or Strongbad's Cool Game for Attractive People shows up.

Did I just hear this right? Alien Crush remade?
Apparently so.. dude.
They need to remake Devil's Crush and JAKI FUCKING CRUSH. They also need to bring Jaki Crush to the VC.
I am so getting all of these if it actually happens haghashgasgh

Look at the post date of my post there (Tuesday, the 13th) and the fact that I said WiiWare launched "yesterday" when I made that post. :P
@ Mr.L
Indeed, a new Alien Crush, though there is some dispute about whether it's a sequel or just a remake to the original. Either way, some Alien Crush "newness" is on the way.

No prob. I do wonder what we may get this coming Monday though. Apparently, a released list shows Europeans getting an even heftier launch than North America did since apparently they're getting both Super Star Soldier R and Dr. Mario Virus Buster on day one. I at least want to see Dr. Mario on Monday anyway. :P
