Title: NiN - The Slip
Post by: Warlin on May 07, 2008, 09:27:54 pm
I am kinda surprised nobody posted about this. So surprised that I had to make a post about it.
Releasing their single, Discipline, Nine Inch Nails(basically Trent and whoever is with him at the time) left a comment embedded in the MP3. It said, "Go to www.nin.com May 5".
The Slip was released, totally free on the Nine Inch Nails website on may 5th.
It's a good album. Not their best but still, I like it.

Enjoy~

I've been listening to it quite a lot recently, and I'd agree that it is quite an excellent album.  It's not his best work overall, but it has some really good songs on it (notably, "Head Down," and "Demon Seed") and shows Trent trying out some new songwriting techniques.  It seems to combine the more dirty and gritty year zero with some of the more rock sensibilities of With Teeth.   It's a little short, but there really isn't any bad songs on the album (although Corona Radiata is a little tiresome to listen to unless you're listening to the album the whole way through)

It's a grower. It ain't a year zero and it's 100 million miles from The Fragile.

It's funny because he's kind of industrial and yet he's against the music industry

Edit: Also didn't that Ghosts album come out like 5 seconds ago

Also the album cover looks like a kind of gothic levi's ad

Edit: One where they don't show pants

Edit: Maybe I was thinking denim jacket lol

Edit: Having something in BETTER than CD quality would be pretty cool (fuk u iTunes) like to the point I don't care what it is I'd just want to find out if it sounds drastically different that way like if some kind of weird ecto cooler hand comes out of the speaker gives you a handjob or something
