Weeds is about a mother who is coping with the recent death of her husband, and she is stuck with their two children. It's not easy to keep up their high-class suburban life, and she has to support her family by becoming the local pot dealer. I'm not a drug person myself but I can still really get into the show. Like I said about all of these others, it's about the characters, and thats what really drives it. This show, more than probably any other on the list, has serious ups and serious downs. You could be laughing your ass off and crying your eyes out in the same episode. Of course I am exaggerating because I am trying to plug this but it is a good show.
okay the new season of weeds started, and i just watched the first episode. it's a decent lead-in to something new, i think. the humor and style of the series is the same and hopefully it will stay that way, since that was always the biggest draw to the show. but the entire setting is changing completely from california suburbs to the mexican border.
it makes sense in a way, since as a drug dealer she is expanding and it goes with the theme of the show in that way. plus it seems like they've already gotten as much as they can from agrestic/majestic, so it's natural to take it to the next level. plus i actually really like the character of guillermo. it seems like he might be replacing conrad, which is unfortunate since i liked conrad a lot (who didn't) but guillermo isn't a shitty character and i wouldn't mind him being more of a regular character.
still i have my doubts, but i'll be watching anyway.

oh i forgot this aired. i guess i should download the first episode and maybe post about it huh???

yeah it was an alright episode. there were parts where nancy's acting seemed OFF, but i liked the father. i wasn't really expecting much out of this episode but for it to establish setting/GIVE ME SOMETHING TO OGLE anyway.

I still haven't finished Season 3. I really enjoy this show though. :D

Okay so wow. Things started and got moving a little bit slow for the first four episodes. They were good but they still felt like they were taking their time to get adjusted to the new location. The latest episode totally just blew it all up and was a great episode. The cast is all set now, it seems, and I'm totally hyped for the rest of the season.
The tunnel at the end was totally amazing. It wasn't entirely unexpected, but it was unexpected in the way that Nancy seems to be caught up in something MUCH BIGGER now. It's hard to say whether or not I like it. I'm used to the location change now and I admit that I am totally fine with it. I even like it -- not any better than the other setting but it's completely acceptable and I think it's just as good in its own way. Now that the story is coming back to the forefront there seems to be a much bigger shift here. Things are getting VERY BIG and I hope everything will work out okay without seeming too ridulous. In general the show is very well-written so I'm keeping my hopes up.
Please please please tell me that there is someone else who is following this show because it's killing me that I have nobody to talk about it with.

darkwhite and i both watch it but both of us sort of think season 4 has weak writing so far compared to the first two or three seasons.

It isn't as good as the earlier seasons. I am still watching and enjoying it though.
