Title: ~~ Official Recommend A Product Topic ~~
Post by: The Ghost on July 09, 2008, 08:33:39 am
Hey, have you've recently purchased something you personally just love and would like to recommend to fellow GW?

Look no further! Post details about what you've recently obtained!

Please try to provide details of the product first before recommending it. Post pictures, info, links, etc and also let us know why you yourself like it and why us GW folks should look out it.

You don't necessarily have to recommend a product but it's what I'm going with here for now. I'm sure you guys can pull some crap out of your hat that I never heard of that might be nice to try out sometime.

That aloe shit looks pretty cool.  I wouldn't drink it though because I'd want 100% pure unpasteurized aloe juice without any additives (plus it has splenda in it), but still I didn't know they made that...neat :)

EDIT:  Where do they sell that?

seriously, do you get your dick sucked and say "It was awful" too?

The whole point of this topic is just recommendations. No, it's not commercials you can recommend anything here you personally like such as websites or types of food you eat and would like others to try. Would you not rather hear a user tell you why they like something rather then commercials? I always thought that was better.

I know I didn't need to say anything at all since headphones stepped in but whatever.

none of the above it was just a BIG OL JOKE but idk they're just some blue sony batteries that came with a recharging dock when i bought my digital camera in like 2001 and seriously they still last way way longer than any other double a i've ever used.  i dunno if that's all rechargeables but if it is, i don't know why people would get anything else!

On this note, if you ever come across a place called 'Chang's Bubble Tea", it has the best General Tso's I've ever eaten.

I would not reccomend the bubble tea though.

I actually like that infomercial. I mean the people are fake and totally obviously script like a bad porno, but at least they made it into like a little 'realistic' get together and not just here's a bunch of grills, lets walk back and forth and look at food and and lets play a tape of us dropping a bowling ball on the thing.

WOW IT ONLY TOOK YOU 4 "SECONDS" TO CHOP UP....PEARL ONIONS.....(if you want to use regular onions you have to, chop them first)...AND ALL I HAVE TO DO IS STILL COOK IT LIKE NORMAL BECAUSE ALL THIS PRODUCT ACTUALLY IS IS A TINY BLENDER? A TINY, UNDERPOWRED RETARDED BLENDER FOR IDIOTS?

GAHHLIC *cigarettes wobbles on lip* ITS MESHUGGAH

Actually if you've ever owned a Magic Bullet you'll be able to attest to how awesome it is. Seriously, it's the most used appliance in my house. It's not just a mini-blender. There are various blade attachments that you can put into the bullet for whatever kind of chopping and blending you need. As well, the number one reason why it's a lot more versatile than a blender is that multiple things can be blended without hassle. For example, if you're using a typical blender to make a strawberry smoothie, you can only make that strawberry smoothie and everyone will have to drink it. You won't be able to blend a different drink without first finishing the first one or throwing it out (what a waste). With the Magic Bullet, since each container/cup is its own entity you can make your own strawberry smoothie while your friend can make their own chocolate banana sundae at the same time using their own container. That's a huge selling point on its own right there.

if you ever have a cold sore:

this is the best shit ever. I get cold sores (usually around 2-3 per year, i fucking hate them), but if you use this shit at the first sign it will help dramatically. this shit has saved my life numerous times. it still works great if you dont catch it right when it starts, and will help with healing time and all that. I've also used one called Novitra that works really well, but the abreva seems to be better, although its expensive as shit (that little tiny tube is like 10-15 bucks, but if you've ever had to deal with cold sores you know how worth it it is).

Pulits:

Wow Pulits I never thought about the frozen berries. I pretty much chop and juice anything I get fresh (fruits) but I never thought about getting frozen berries as I usually get them when they're in season.

I'm not a fan of the taste of green tea to be honest so I don't think I will start drinking that. That 5 blade set is nice, I got it a few times too the trimmer keeps ya side burns FRESH.

GR:

My cousin uses that and he bigs it up pretty hard. It does look like it heals pretty damn quickly when he gets outbreaks sometimes every winter.

You can also take the magic bullet off its base, switch lids and put it in the microwave. ITS SO VERSATILE GR@!

Since it's summer time I'm recommending some sunscreen. Neutrogena UltraSheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 85 with helioplex. This stuff is really good. I can't remember how much it costs, but its really not that expensive. Its so light that I can't tell I have it on after it dries. It has helioplex which protects against UVA and UVB rays. Waterproof. Also its a physical blocker and doesn't clog pores.

I was talking to Steel about this a few weeks ago, but yes, I too would die of shame if someone found one of these or any other male masturbating tools around me.  But why IS that?  There's this inexplicable difference in the way people perceive male and female masturbation.  If you find our a woman has a vibrator, do you care?  No!  It's not out of the ordinary at all, and I even sort of half expect it at this point.  Most dudes would say KIND OF HOT, I think.  But what would you think if you found out a dude had a fleshlight or some shit?  OH GOD WHY THE FUCK DO YOU HAVE THIS.  That is what most people would think, myself included.  I really don't understand why it's totally acceptable for a woman to have a dildo but shameful and disgusting for a man to have one, but I definitely feel like it is and I suspect most people do, too!

I'm actually really curious about male masturbators, especially the ones that are like ENTIRE TORSOS, just because they are such a ridiculous invention and you kind of wonder what they feel like, so maybe someday I will buck this CONCERN WITH PERCEPTION and give it a go.  Some of them are like $200, though; it's crazy.

Women need g-spot/clit stimulation which is much easier/faster/better with other stuff compared to hands (esp. with the former)

Guys don't "need" any tools really, hands work 100% of the time and they work perfect.

it's mostly that imho. i mean a girl can get off with her hands too but it's not as easy or consistent for them as it is us.

also they feel like plastic / pretty bad and every single guy i know (this is like 5 people but still) who has had one hates them and says the aren't worth the money. hands are cheaper to buy and don't have shipping and handling charges so heh

darknecrid what are you basing these observations on???  a lot of women i know do not think it is much easier/faster/better with a vibrator.  i mean they think it is sort of better, especially if you have like a fucking RABBIT COMPLETE WITH ANAL BEAD ADD-ON or some shit, but regular old vibrators usually aren't much easier or better for that matter!  every conversation i've had about this stuff (as it turns out this comes up quite a lot when bored at work!) has ended up with most of the girls saying they can get off just fine with their hands, and they kind of like them more because there's a lot more precision involved than with some big clunky dong.

also a huge part of the vibrator appeal is that THEY VIBRATE, and i hear it can be sort of uncomfortably intense for a lot of people, so yeah, i don't think vibrators are necessary or especially superior to hands for the most part!
Title: ~~ Official Recommend A Product Topic ~~
Post by: HL on July 11, 2008, 03:02:17 am
ok but (again this depends on the girls tho) I think in general there's the mental aspect of it too. obviously i'm not a woman so this is being horribly stereotypical, but a lot of women get revved up on the mental aspect and it's probably easier to mentally picture a guy donging you if you're using a sexual device like that you know?? so maybe that has something to do with it. most vibrators/dildos with vibration functions that aren't cheap have vibration options, for people who can't take it if its very intense (slow etc) so i don't think that is much of an issue. if they are just going for clit stimulation then sure they can do it with their hands but getting the g-spot is prettyhard with your hands (i am pretty sure) which is why they make dildos specifically for this purpose.

again im not a girl i just think thats a part of it. it's just more necessary for women in general compared to guys so it's more okay in society's eyes maybe???

who knows

edit:
this is pretty ot so ima stop. THE WORLD MAY NEVER KNOW

I don't recommend the new 7-Up with 100% natural flavors. It sucks. It tastes horrible. I didn't like 7-Up much in the first place, but I didn't think it could get any worse. It just tastes so fake and sugar watery. It gets a 1 out of 9 .

Not too many girls on here, but I will recommend these:

They are apparently American Eagle "Captain Boat Mocs" ($21.99). I didn't even know what brand they were until after I bought them, despite the fact that they have the logo on the inside of the sole. I know a ton of people hate on stuff like AE, but these are seriously some of the comfiest shoes I have ever had the fortune of wearing. Easier to put on than slip-ons, they work with most outfits (and come in five colors), and they are fairly cute. I don't really like flip-flops, so these shoes are awesome because you can slip 'em on and go just as easily. The bottoms are like regular shoes so you can walk in the rain and not feel all squishy on the inside. This is a pretty good quality to have in a shoe in Florida, because flip-flops will get your feet wet when it rains unexpectedly (as it tends to do so often here).

Got 'em at Payless during a BOGO sale (I originally went there because I had lost one shoe, making my only wearable pair of shoes useless), and got it half-off. :)

Back to the original topic...

Mountain Dew SuperNova (http://www.dewmocracy.com/campaign-central/create-your-own/supernova.aspx)

(Flavor info at their main site) (http://www.mountaindew.com/#/brands/)

I really like this new flavor, the strawberry and melon mask the ginseng.  Its pleasant aroma and mild flavor mask its power as a gaming fuel.
This stuff is good (I like most of the new flavors), but don't drink it before bed if you want to get to bed any time soon. Seriously, I normally have no problem getting to sleep at night, even if I do drink a lot of soda, but one of these had me up until 5:00.

This is less of a product recommendation and more of a general question, but does anyone have any idea for what I could do with roughly four pounds of pure cow fat?  Right now it's just sitting in my fridge and stinking up the other food so I need to get rid of it asap........

i don't know much about PURE COW FAT but is it possible to just fry something in it or does PURE mean it is solid as a block of gold or something

also old southern people always tell me the flavor's in the fat so maybe make a stew with it or something

PURE means I cut it off of a 13 pound hunk of beef that my dad brought me a couple of days ago.  It's not so much a block, but more like a quivering mountain of brownish jelly that I have in a bowl.

A buddy of mine suggested beans, which seems like a great idea.  My dad used to use bacon and fat in our beans when we were younger.  I was hoping we could make some gravy out of it, though.

i mean, i think you probably could make some pretty good gravy out of it!  especially like beef gravy or something else that would benefit from being a lot richer.  still from the sound of it you have a ton of fat on your hands so i would say yeah make some beans and stew and gravy and whatever else comes to mind and you will probably still end up throwing some away.
