Title: Dexter, Catch me up!

Season 2 of Dexter just started over here and since House, Heroes, Lost, Chuck and Dr Who have all finished I thought I would find a new TV show to watch. NEW TV SHOWS THAT LOOK GOOD STARTING THIS MONTH were Dexter Season 2 and The Wire. Anyway Dexter started last night but I missed Season 1 so I need someone to catch me up please! The season opening was pretty cool I guess, I mean I was not expecting something quite so brutal as CHOPPED UP BODIES so that was a nice surprise, it was a little edgier than what I expected.

So please, If you don't mind, what happened in Season 1?

But yeah, seriously. Watch Season 1 first or something, god. Season 2 won't be as good if you don't watch Season 1.

man i totally had a long spoiler for season 2 ready to be posted and then realized that you said season 2 was just starting. you poor poor child behind the times. :(

man this is what i did. in ONE WEEKEND i watched both seasons. friday night for season one and saturday for season 2. it was probably among my best weekends ever lived and it will take a lot to top it.

Dexter is the only good crime show on anymore. Fuck CSI, CSI Miami, CSI New York, Law an Order, NCIS. Their all shit compared to this show. Man the first season is just finishing up next week in New Zealand and I couldn't  believe how awesome it has been.

Man I just like watching TV. It is a thing I do, I watch TV in the evenings, I like having TV to watch and that is the best shit on really.

not really. i have always watched a bucket load of tv shows and i manage to avoid stuff like lost and heroes. if you like to watch good tv, why don't you just download shows that have finished, or watch reruns of good stuff instead of stuff which isn't. there aren't many good shows on right this moment cos it's the summer but battlestar galactica and the wire had runs earlier this year, for two examples of stuff you could have been watching instead.

do you live in the uk? the shows you mentioned seem to indicate you do, because the wire season 5 and dexter season 2 ads have been all over sky for a couple of weeks. so i mean, there's a lot of good stuff on at all hours. FX is turning into a really good channel.

there's really quite a lot of good stuff on tv, you just need to look around a little for it and that can take some time on the internet but it's better than droning through a season of heroes just cos it's on and bearable.

i cut back a lot on tv this past year, i guess, cos i'm not just watching whatever new stuff is on. for a time i was like "man i wanna write tv" so i just digested shit like smallville and the oc but i couldn't reconcile how awful those shows were with not being a stupid dick so i stopped watching stuff like that. now i kind of hunt out good shows which i missed, like deadwood for example. i totally missed that show when it was on so i got the DVDs but even if you don't want to spend money you can just download it, and avoid ads.

if it is grossly inconvenient for you to do more than flick the on switch in the evening and just kick back cos you are so tired or busy etc, then all right i guess, but it's not difficult to do a lot better than house, heroes, lost and dr who.

Haha wait they remade Battlestar galactica? Is it good?

well it's probably the best space tv show there's ever been, although this isn't saying loads but if that means anything to you then there is that. it's absolutely nothing like the original, so don't think it's gonna resemble that series more than superficially. i think that is a good thing because the original is terrible. there's a topic about it in this forum down the page, and you can wiki it where it's gonna use words like "dark!" "gritty!!" "realistic!!!" a lot so i won't regurgitate that shit here.

it's good though, yeah. it's got it's problems but it is definitely worth your time if you are interested of like this sort of thing.

the new bsg is really good and if you even remotely like space tv/scifi stuff you should see it.

dexter is way better.

i dont got showtime though, so I'm boned. I'm probably gonna have to dl season 3.

It might get some press but I'm not sure because it's probably not even showing here yet apart from on some sky channel I don't get. Also I wouldn't have heard anyway because I don't really watch TV unless I'm high lol

But I better go watch it if it's the best showp on television for sure

Yeah just watch Season 1 first. Season 2 is actually better but you will miss out on a lot of the whole thing if you haven't seen Season 1.

Yeah season 2 is better maybe? I can't really remember because I watched both on an empty weekend with a "Bag O' Weed" and all I remember is a mishmash of dexter now. But season 1 is rockin go watch it, why haven't you watched it yet.

I think it is awesome how Dexter used the name Patrick Bateman to apply for his prescription drugs. It is in jokes like this that GIVE ME KICKS when i get them.
