Does anyone know where to get the best free pagemaker for websites?

Also, what's the best host for a small website that's starting off?

The best free page maker for websites is either notepad or editplus (http://www.editplus.com/). It would benefit you far more greatly to learn html (a very very simple task) and work on your sites that way instead of relying on a page maker to do it for you. Adobe produces the best pagemaker, Dreamweaver (http://www.adobe.com/products/dreamweaver/) (formerly by Macromedia), but it is counter productive, typically, to use a pagebuilder if you do not understand what it is making in html because you will likely run into a great many problems you will not be able to fix. There is also a limit to what pagebuilders can do for you without a certain amount of knowledge of the process and you will eventually need to know what the actual code is to build advanced sites anyway. W3Schools (http://www.w3schools.com/) is a great place to start learning html, and it will probably only take you 30 minutes to an hour to learn the basics.

I used Freewebs (http://members.freewebs.com/) for a long time before I got to know rami, who eventually hosted me on Avalanche. I don't know how it is now, but it was a nice place to begin with back when I started making a site some 5 years ago.

That little icon is called a "favicon".

I'm wondering which provider you guys would recommend for hosting and domain registration. I'm not exactly sure what I'd like, but a small personal site would be nice so I can have a blog and upload pictures and whatever else peaks my interest.
