So, I didn't see any topic about this Anime.
I hope some if you know it though. It's my favourite anime.
It's from the creator of Cowboy Bebop.
A Samurai story set in the Edo era, not at all historically correct and full of awesome.
It's about some girl named Fuu and she's lookin for the 'Samurai that smells of sunflowers'.
And Mugen and Jin tag along as her 'bodyguards'. But only cuz they owed her for completely destroying the place she works by fighting there.
Mugen and Jin don't exactly enjoy it though. Don't be surpised when ye seem em running of to a brothel as soon as they see
a chance to ditch Fuu. (Who gets unusually fat after eating, so she can't run.)

Mugen and Jin are pretty much opposites. Jin is your typical traditional samurai. Controlled, calm and very skilled.
Mugen on the other hand has a weird 'champloo' hip hop fighting style. He kinda mixes breakdancing with fighting. He's very hot tempered and
won't hesitate to kill, even be it without a proper reason. (He'll kill someone just cuz he doesn't like his face and such.)
And Fuu is an annoying girl that constantly thinks men want to rape her because she's so pretty. Which they won't and which she isn't.

If you are an animation whore this show will give you an ANIMATIONGASM.
This anime has the best fight sequences I have ever seen in an anime.

If you haven't seen it go watch it.

I saw it, it's one of the better series. I tried to watch it again recently and it was a little too childish/anime for me to stand it, but I remember some of the storylines and they were pretty decent. even above the heads of the regular anime crowd, as much as that's saying. like you apparently didn't get much of it at all since one of the recurring themes is *gulp* feminism

also the best ep was the one where he fell in love with that woman working in a brothel

Mugen: *Kills the guys like a madman*

It was hilarious. The basebal episode was also hilarious.

no I think he's talking about the episode where Jin falls in love with a woman in a brothel. the one where or something like that. that was probably my favorite ep too I forget. the baseball episode was pretty good too

if the whole thing was as good as the first episode it would've been great, but episode 2 on the animation quality wasnt as good. still if you're in the mood to watch cartoon azns stab each other its pretty good.

Samurai Champloo was good shit, I liked the 'style' the anime went for, and how it captured the whole old Japanese culture feel, even if it's full of anachronisms out the ass.

There were things I liked and disliked about this anime.
I love the style and animation. I like animes that are a little... dare I say... Edgy? Animes that have a that certain something.... I really can't find the word.
I also really liked the soundtrack.

I didn't care for the ending. What was there really to look forward to?

I particularly liked the episode with the blind woman. The brothel and baseball eps were pretty good too. :)
