Hey, I thought it would be a good idea to make a thread that covers news, but for games since I have some news but it's not really worth a whole thread for itself.

I have to say I am very pleased that R* are continuing GTA on the PC since I have always played it on the PC up to now and I've made one or two mods (I once modelled my own stunt castle for Vice City back in the day :). I am quite excited to see what mods come available for the PC version HOWEVER I am also wondering whether R* have blocked modders from accessing files due to San Andreas' Hot Coffee fiasco. Let's hope we can mod!
Edit: I already own the game for PS3 but it is likely I will sell my PS3 one now so that I can afford the PC one when it comes out. If anyone wants to buy mates rates save me from posting it on eBay. It's the UK version.
As I said before, this thread is for sharing gaming news (i.e. game related announcements/events) and their discussion.
It'll be a while before we hear from 3D realms I guess

newer versions of San Andreas have modding blocked so I'm guessing they'll do the same here.

This is cool, but god it's annoying to see people call Rockstar "R*".
I really hope modding is allowed, because games that don't allow mods suck. Mods add an infinite amount of replayability to every game.

Also, blocked modding is probably only for SA guys. Unless there's another HOT COFFEE hidden in gta4 but let's face it:
they wouldn't be fucking dumb enough to even try their luck leaving something like that in a game after the scandal they've had from SA

mods are a pretty great thing i agree but its totally plausible for rockstar to ban them.

Yeah but it's kinda hard for someone to completely program a porn game into a game from scratch.
There are lots of nude mods and shit for 3, VC and SA but no one really cares. The preexisting code from SA was the big deal.
