so yesterday while trying to dl pineapple express from a wireless connection at seaschool, I managed to get my ip blocked.
Is there any way to change my ip through windows? or to get around this?
I cant access the net at all through my comp but im using a psp if another connection is needed.
btw, this post took me 30 mins... :fogetnah:
and NORAD i think it was called, was the service that blocked my IP address.
tnx in advance

I think you can use IPconfig to change your IP... Not 100% on wether or not this will bypass a blocked IP, but its worth a try. Entering command prompt then typing /ipconfig, then /release, then /renew SHOULD change your IP. I'd do some research if possible because I don't know if I got this correctly, been a while since I used it.
(Someone else could correct me if needed, also.)

More likely they blocked your MAC address.

wow this is very wrong. this will refresh your local ip from your router, however it's not going to change the ip your ISP gives you.

Maybe, its the one that shows up 1st in ipconfig. i tried using release/renew but it assigns me the same ip that was banned when I renew.

Im glad you corrected me ... As I mentioned, I had no idea if it would work.

yeah, you need to find norad's back door to illegally play video games. the password is joshua

what?
I'm guessing thats a joke referance to something. Well done!

Yeah if you just... spoof your MAC address... you should be fine.
-
well not really because your ISP is hooked to your mac address, so if you spoof your mac address you will need to call your ISP and pretend you bought a new router. Not even sure that would help you.

do you have any idea what norad is?
North American Aerospace Defense (http://www.norad.mil/).
-
yeah but this norad is an isp or wifi connection manager or something under the same name.
And I don't know what the hell I did (if anything) but now my connection works
