Title: Reminders of GWr's in real life.

Ok so it may just be me but I hardly think so. Humans have a fascination to connect something non human to a human for resemblance or memory, I have a few for GW members and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Here are a few of the ones that come to mind most often:


Bart: Whenever I see that dancing Chicken avatar you had anywhere else, I think of you

Ramirez: Plain and simple, Kermit the frog.

Climbtree:  Anytime I realize I'm using the word INSTEQD (Instead ...)  I think of that damn signature.

Lars: Sweden and hard liquor

Psyburn: people who think there black, but ain't

Chef: Basketball or anything reminding me of Barkley or Micheal Jordan

Rowain: Fuck you! I can't enjoy Tom Petty's music anymore with thinking "Hmm Haven't heard from Rowain in a while"

Mateui: Chibi chocobos

ASE: Ace of Base ... sadly

Chainer: Angry bearded men, and Lineage ][

Medieve: Purple robes

Serenity: Australia, Where I've always wanted to go on vacation :(

Christo: The word Epiphany, and Afro'd white guys.

Velfarre: Chicks with Macs


Yeah,  So as you can see there a lot of random things that if they come up in a run of a day I'm reminded slightly of a GW member.  Do any of you have these weird reminders? If so what triggers it for who?

Didn't everyone have a Mog at their high school? mine was Alan Kulaga. it's hard to say exactly what was wrong with him, but he was a lot like Mog and nobody liked him even though he tried to act cool and fit in. he always acted like he had the biggest ego but that was just a cover for how bad he felt about himself :(

I've known a couple Impeals too. besides that I don't recall ever associating anyone irl with a GWer

OH I also see people I think look like Hundley even though I don't know what he actually looks like and I'm just going by his avatar

mog and i aren't exactly best buddies but this isn't really what he is like and is perhaps a smidge harsh on him.

i don't really do it either. i think about gw sometimes when i'm away from it, but only in the context of whatever discussion we were having. i don't have "heh - that is so adeline" moments or anything.

NO he isn't, at least not anymore, but he's always reminded me of that kid!!

also I don't think you guys remember when he was in his egotistical/narcissistic stage before some people here beat it out of him, and now he gives off vibes of an inferiority complex every now and then

steel was in a dream of mine once. i was walking through some american style college dorm room and he was sitting on the bed looking dejected and depressed. i had pressing business though so i moved on.

The weird thing is that I don't really know what anybody looks like, so I'm not sure how specific GWers appear in my dreams.  I can't even remember who was in my dreams but I'm pretty sure it was specific members and not just GW as a whole so maybe they appeared as something I associate them with, I don't know!

yeah!! i've been here for like 5 years and it wasn't until this year that i started having dreams about GW (although i think i had a nightmare about seeing a girl raped on campus most likely inspired by a steel story)

Seriously, though. I dreamt that Jeff drove to my house. He parked his white SUV (I have no idea what kind of car Jeff drives irl) on the side of the road and walked in through the garage. I remember it was very nerve-wracking because my mom started asking questions about who he was and I said something like AN OLD FRIEND WHO MOVED FAR AWAY and Jeff started to nod in disagreement and I had to try and silently get him to understand and cooperate. Apparently we were too dumb to chat about WHAT STORY AM I FEEDING MY PARENTS on IRC before we decided to meet up.

Eventually he ended up going up to my room and plopping down on the bed and using the laptop a lot while I kind of just hovered there and watched him and talked to him (I don't really remember any details.. i'm bad at remembering dreams)

The only GW member reminders I've ever had where dreams featuring cameos of Velfare and Kaworu. Velfare for trippy icelandic TV inspired stuff.... and Kaworu for nerdy/ animu stuff. I did have a steel dream recently... but that one was understandable given the circumstances. As far as general reminders go... I think of GW every time I hear Zappa or Porcupine Tree. And that's about it.

Whenever I play Suikoden I think of Hundley.

I'm not even 100% positive it was a Suikoden avatar that Hundley used to have, but that's what it still reminds me of.

whenever i see/play mgs i think of psyburn, but it leads to a train of thought thing where hes screaming at someone for being racist and then turning around and pretending hes black to some black guy who becomes really nervous around psyburn.
