Title: Does anyone here have famous relatives?
Post by: Captain Mew on August 23, 2008, 01:43:25 am
On my mom's side of the family way back apparently I'm related to Marcus Aurelius and my second cousin on my dad's side is (I guess was) John Holmes, but he died roughly a year before I was born, due to AIDS.

My Great-Grandpa wrote like, 20 books, and my uncle played drums for Billy Joel for a little while. That's about it.

my ancestor was emperor huang di in china. i'm probably descended from one of his cheap prostitutes, though. it explains why my family lived in poverty until my dad got to go to college.

The most famous people I am directly related to are Chang and Eng Bunker, who were two circus freaks. They had like 25 kids between the two of them and I always get invitations to Bunker family reunions in the mail. Apparently like 5,000 people show up to them.

Fuck you guys I would have a field day with autographs.

My great great great whatever granduncle (I think) is this dude http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Leslie_Mackay

Too bad I didn't inherit his Caucasian genes tho.

Apparently my mom's ancestor was a prince from Sri Lanka who went to China for vacation. Than apparently his father or whoever took the throne and he was forced to stay in China. My parent's aren't sure, it's probably a bunch of bullshit, but mi madre says she lived in the same house or some shit. It's all balony.

Well, up until I was 6 years old Notorious B.I.G. was my neighbor. Also my uncle says he knew Akira Kurosawa because his best friend worked on his movies and also won cannes. I think he's lying.

I got an uncle (my fathers elder brother) who's a radio personality, he's got a unique deep voice and people are all over it and he's been in the bizz for like forever now. Since I live on a small island with like, max population of 800000 people, (and everyone listens to the radio) he's famous no matter WHERE I go, and we all have the same last name too (which is also a name NO ONE ELSE HAS ON THE ENTIRE ISLAND), people always make connections, (are you related???)

One thing I like is how wherever he goes, he always gets shit for free, (like vodafone recently gave him a $1800 nokia fone for free).

So my family has millions of different genes or whatever because apparently they liked to breed with whatever they could!
Way back on my mom's grandpas side, there is William Wallace (that's right the guy who liberated Scotland!!) and also Sir William Lockhart(Luccard/Locard) who apparently brought King Richard or someone's heart back from the crusades?? (I checked wikipedia I guess it was just some Robert the Bruce fella whoever that is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lockharts_of_Lee)

Also, less far back on the same tree is the guy who invented futon couches (but a dirty Jew stole the copyright and got rich). Ironically, my grandfather married a Jew and their children decided to be Jews themselves until everyone but me converted to Christianity a couple years ago.

I don't know any other famous people but my Grandmother on my father's side owns the local garbage company (it's pretty big and she's pretty rich but she hates us!!)

So there you have it, my bloodline is very colorful with all kinds of ethnicities and stuff.

EDIT: also an aunt of some sort played a role in Lost in Space (old tv series, maybe cameo in newer movie too?) Jane Lockhart I think her name was. I think her daughter is an actress too.

Famous, no. Infamous, yes. First, I'm descended from a bastard who became a knight wearing black armor who was vicious and merciless. Then, a bastard from the bloody De La Force family who fled to England during the French Revolution.

I'm possibly related somehow to some welsh classical composer... and an artist. But not completely sure.

I was in the same class and know the nephew of the singer Shirley Strachan, lead singer in a famous Australian band Skyhooks, the song most people would recognize is "horror movie" so sad, he died in a helicopter crash in 2001 :(

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CANpDwKbBd8&feature=related lol, imaging being related to someone who dressed like that.

Just to add a little more does anyone know people who are related to famous people?

I suspect there may be more on my dad's side (hard to find out about my mothers' since her mother was an evaquee during WW2 and only found out about her original family on her last year alive :( ) but I haven't actually heard anything else Apart from a few mega-millionaires and whatnot.

well, i'll post some stuff directly off the geneology study i obtained from my grandma's house.

my great-great-great-.....-grandmother was Pocahontas's husbands' brother's sister. so, Pocahontas's sister-in-law.

on my mother's father's mother's side, my family is directly descended from the Pettus family line, which contains some notable people. John Pettus was knighted for "outstanding loyalty to his country". a few generations later, William Pettus became one of the first people from England to set foot on America as an original colonist of Jamestown.

on my father's mother's side, we come from the Terrells, after whom Terrell, Texas (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrell,_Texas) was named. they were mostly Norwegian, with a bit of English.

my mother's mother's family contained the McKittricks from Ireland. also, my great-great-great-great-great grandmother on this side was 100% Native American, and she married an American who came from England.

my mother's father's father's side was made up of infamous thieves, bartenders, and bouncers. they were very rough people. however, many of the people in this family line, including my grandpa, were part of the Freemasons. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freemasonry)

and finally, on my fathers' father's side of the family, there were many artists. for hundreds of years, it had been tradition to name your first born son something that started with an "A", and also give them the middle name "John". that tradition ended with my father (Thomas John (whose name is Tom Krusz, haha)), but started again with my oldest brother, Alexander John. all the people had been named things like Arthur, August, Augustus, Alexander, Aaron, Aiden, etc... but my grandpa said, "the minute we saw your father, we knew he wasn't the type of person to follow traditions. we decided not to name him an "A" name at the last minute, right when he was born." my grandpa was right. every first born male had become an artist down to my grandpa. my dad became a computer security guy.

also, my friend Allee's grandparents are the Irwins. her cousin was Steve Irwin, the crocodile hunter. also, steve irwin looks exactly like his grandma. disturbingly so. she lives a few blocks away from me.

so yeah thats about all i have to say uhhhhh

One of my mother's cousins was a backup singer to various Italian singers/performers such as Frank Sinatra and marquee performer in his own right in Steubenville around the time that Dean Martin (or as my mom's family calls him, Dino Crocetti) became really popular. He was a pretty slick cat and we have some sweet autographed photographs of him with some pretty legendary jazz musicians and its pretty cool. He was one swarthy dago though gatdam

yeah his name was Gene Arcade, but apparently he must not have been much other than a regional performer because google searching only pulls in some very obscure references on 50s and 60s music archive webpages. and image search is worthless.
