I don't know how many people noticed, but I've been gone for the last 2 months.
I am finally settled in at my new apartment in Phoenix, Arizona (I moved from Maryland). I have started college, and am loving it. And, uh, yeah I am back!
I also just got internet in my apartment today, so I will be on quite frequently again.

WHATS IN ARIZONA.

There is a few game design firms in Arizona, and considering my major, it would be good place to start (I am getting an internship with THQ).
I also really like the Phoenix/Tempe area, it's a beautiful city.
-
I'd say being in Maryland would be shittier than AZ at least out where I was in the booneys

also hi. i noticed you were gone like four days ago but figured it was college.

hi panda Tempe is far from the ugliest city in the world, but i would agree that it is ugly. I miss Ocean City, MD :((((
-

:(
also wb!!! i noticed you were missing.

Game Design college is really not that bad. My teachers have been in the industry, and have done work in actual major games. They really know what they're talking about, and I am just there for Programming, I don't care much about the other classes (except for audio!!)

rite but most game design colleges are complete jokes, the ones that are affiliated with companies aren't always 100% guarantees even if you do really really good, and you wind up learning about stuff only interested in game design in a volatile industry where people are fired, relocated, or have to find a new job faster than you can blink, that's also pretty damn closed in and very demanding. basically if your affiliated company fails you for any reason, you really don't have the tools to do any other job that's worth the money you paid for college effectively. what do you major in?
game design
this sounds worthless as hell to anyone not in the game industry because it is and it's still kind of a laughable major really (most of the colleges who teach it being jokes do not help. my friend goes to devry and they have a class where they get graded to play video games. that's all they do in the class. they don't even review them!! just play video games for 2 hours.), whereas someone who majors in say COMPUTER SCIENCE and builds a portfolio (pretty much the common method of entry next to getting a QA job or doing this and getting a QA job), has a gajillion jobs to fall back on should game design not pan out (which is very likely given the current industry)

hey you shut up
