Post by: Vanit on October 08, 2008, 05:30:57 am: I completely forgot to post here. I don't think its too late for an introduction!

Anyway my name is Vanit, real name Lucas, and even though I've been registered at GW since 2003, I haven't really been an active member until last week. I originally came here when I was first getting into the rm2k community and wanted to see the kind of things people were working on, posting bad topics on my own newb games,etc. I then gave game making a rest and worked on some minor hacking projects. I translated the program SPC2Midi and the game Sin and Punishment to english, and also released a small patch for FF7PC that put some of the beta models ingame (all this is on my website vanitstudios.com btw).

And then came WoW... I did absolutely nothing productive since 2005 and just played that game. I enjoyed it, but I absolutely hated having all my time taken up and the obligation to come to raids etc. But I was addicted, so I kept playing until about 2 and a half months ago when I finally got sick of it, quit and never to return (I hope).

So with all that spare time back, and some newfound programming knowledge I decided to start my FF72DR project. I worked on that for 2 months and decided I had enough stuff down that it was time to announce my insane plan for world domination, and here I am. I've already been talking to quite a few of you in threads and whatnot, but I just wanted to make an official introduction, tell a bit of my backstory and I just wanted to say I look forward to hanging around and getting to know you guys better. :)
