I am not supercomputerguy compared to most of you guys. I've been meaning to do this for a while, but stuff kept getting in the way (like procrastination). Basically I have no way to access the staff FTP at the moment. I'm running Windows Vista Home Basic on a non-administrative account (family computer). I downloaded the FireFTP addon for Firefox which didn't seem to work, I don't know if it was Vista or just the program, but I'd like to get onto the FTP so I can upload pictures to go along with my articles so people will actually read them when I write them (not that I've been writing all that much). It could very well be something on my part due to not actually knowing how to use FTP. Anyway:
Is there maybe a free FTP program that doesn't suck, give me spyware, or anything else bad out there? I'm not completely adverse to paying for one, but I'd like it not to come to that.

Filezilla is open source (therefore spyware free) and doesn't suck.

However, FireFTP should work. But you might as well try filezilla and see if you can get it to work.

Maybe you can get net2ftp.com installed in this server

The best app you can get for Windows is WinSCP hands down. There's no contest whatsoever. It also supports SFTP and SCP, so it's great.

I like cute ftp (http://www.cuteftp.com/products/ftp_clients.aspx?CMP=KNC-Google-FTP(Client-Campaign)&gclid=CJDYpsaOm5YCFQJ-xgodMhfHoQ) and flash fxp (http://www.flashfxp.com/). Their shareware is quite operational.
