Title: Do You Want to Come To My House and Possibly Go Public Skating? (also, it'll be really cold)
Post by: Izekeal on October 31, 2008, 01:33:45 am: Well, the snow's gonna be here soon and that means that it's almost time for the Winter GW meet. As usual, it'll be at my house in London, and it'll be a weekend thing.

I'm open to suggestions for plans but right now I'm thinking of some public skating. There's lots of arenas/rinks near my place so getting to one won't be a problem and skate rentals shouldn't be a problem either. If you can't skate that's fine, you can always learn (it's not that hard). Other than that it'll depend on the weather I guess. We'll probably end up hanging around my house doing the usual stuff. If there's a good movie on that week we could go see it too I suppose.

Anyways, this'll be happening in January, probably late January, like second last or last week. This topic's just to get the word out and to see who all would be interested in showing up.

Those are both friday/saturday and it'll be like the summer meet; show up on the friday and then on the saturday we do stuff (like public skating).

Everyone Alright, I think that January 30/31 will be better so let's shoot for that.

As for the public skating if anyone has skates, let me know as I'll be looking into getting us some or setting up some rentals so I'd like to know a ballpark number of how many extras we'll need. And, as for location, there's two backup options that are guaranteed so it'll be happening one way or another, even if we can't go to an arena.

Just to reiterate: You're welcome to show up anytime on the Friday (the 30th). We'll go public skating on the Saturday, not really sure what time yet, depends on if we can get to an arena and what times public skates are at. I'll update with more info about that later. So yeah, Saturday will be the main day, like in July. Then, on Sunday, you can head back home anytime you like.

Actually, my brother and I have been talking. Provided his son isn't ill then he's good to come, provided he's still welcome.

Holy shit, it's still weird to think of my brother as a parent.

Anyway, I'm cool for just about anything we do. dX has to give me directions to where he lives now so I can pick him up.

Also we won't be doing anything too crazy because I'm expecting the weather to be super shitty. Because of that, we'll be staying inside London this time.

But yeah, I'll make a new topic in a bit, maybe this week.
