Check it out Check it out (http://www.gamekyo.com/videoen13496_heavy-rain-public-presentation-video.html)
(note: the demo doesn't start until the 3 minute mark and it's a pretty huge video)
The first ever live demo of Heavy Rain made by Quantic Dream, the guys who brought you Omikron and Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy. First off, IMPRESSIVE GRAPHICS. The characters don't look like stiff plastic. Anyways, the game is shaping up to be a fantastic interactive adventure. There's a few things I don't particularly like (using the six-axis controller to do mundane tasks and I HATE HATE HATE QUICK TIME EVENTS GOD DAMMIT SEGA WITH YOUR DIE HARD ARCADE) but all in all I'm getting a great Shenmue vibe with this.
Here's hoping it doesn't contain David Cage's famous pretentiousness and stupid philosophical ramblings but that's like asking Todd Howard to shut up for 5 minutes.

oh yeah 100 points for having a sensible female leading role.
hopefully she doesn't have sex with a corpse at the end.
and to piss off earl chip who i hope will read this topic, indigo prophecy (the previous dave cage game) was based on Nietzsche and the crazy chaotic what-the-fuck ending is a reference to his work or something.

i was wondering when any info about this would surface
all i heard about this was like 3-whatever years ago when they showed all those fake ps3 demo reels
and even then it was just "LOL ACTOR TRYING OUT TO GET A ROLE" so it didn't even have anything to do with the actual game i think
so it's nice to see this come up because i really liked indigo prophecy
no matter how over the top it ended up being
edit:
"- Very interesting Split Screen System to keep an eye on the murderer, control the character at the same time."
this happened in indigo prophecy too
who bets it'll just happen at given tense moments like before (thats still kinda coal) (ps: the vid buffers every second so no lookin)

correct me if i'm wrong but wasn't this the game where all the videos showed some girl sitting in a chair getting interviewed
and another one where she was crying the tears led into the title?
something like that it's been a few years!

All I know about this game was they said this was in game.. True?

Pretty sure it is.
Why wouldn't it be?

It's true, quite incredible I must say. Better than a sequel to Fahrenheit in my opinion though... I don't want another game with flying undead superpeople being fucked in a tube-train with some hippies outside. They weren't even hiding below the covers for Christ's sake.

Idk everything about the whole video was impressive, everything being in-game, the feeling you'd get playing it (the panic etc etc.), the graphics, and everything.
This game looks really good, maybe it's just me. Sadly I do not have a PS3 and do not seeing myself getting one. :(

I've seen the trailer, and the facial animations seem kind of stiff. Overall though, really impressive stuff. The quick time events at least have small white symbols instead of GIGAN GOOFY BUTTONS so it meshes a bit more and is more subtle.
Wish I had a PS3...

david cage said there would be no supernatural stuffs
but i think it would be really funny if someone did like MYSTIC RITUAL and nothing happened

For everyone's information, this is the first video of the game's engine. The videos from last year and the 2005 "cast interview" were tech demos. This is the actual true game.
EDIT: and supposedly, if the main character dies then the story continues. They probably do a omikron style body switch but if every character has their own dialog based on the probability of one of them dying then color me impressed.

that video looked really cool but that fucking french asshole giving the play-by-play throughout the whole thing was annoying as hell.
