So it was scary, my computer suddenly froze up and then I tried to restart it but it refused to turn on, then all it did was BEEEEP.... BEEEEP.... BEEEEEP. Then I removed one of the two RAM modules and luckly it's working now and it was the older 256 mb module that had died. Anyway, is that what happens when RAM dies while the computer is running? It freezes up?

Yeah, I've had dodgy RAM do this to me in the past. I always buy corsair now even if it's £10 more expensive because I know that the cheapo stuff is gonna go funny (or just not be compatible with my motherboard)
How are you btw irni? I have not been floating around as much as I once did. Made any more hispanic platformers?
