Not really surprising considering the show was barely promoted by FOX for the past 3 or 4 years and it was constantly preempted by football. Apparently it's going to make room for another Seth McFarland show about Cleveland (the black guy from Family Guy).
King of the Hill reruns will begin running on Adult Swim. Maybe seven years from now we'll get 4 direct-to-DVD King of the Hill "movies."
Mike Judge (co-creator of King of the Hill) is now working on a show for ABC called Goode Times, which is like King of the Hill except with white liberal guilt instead of redneck conservative reactionism. The Goode family adopted a kid from Africa! But here's the twist: He's from South Africa, so he's white! Zany. I think there was Disney Channel Original Movie with the same premise.

It was still going?

God damnit, they're going to play shit on adult swim?
There goes my weeknights...

oh great!! more mcfarlane!! can't wait!!

They should put this on comedy central, and bring futurama back to Adult Swim.
I've never understood this show, it's like an animated version of the blue collar comedy tour.

so *thats* where konix gets his daily jolt of tv industry buzz

King of the Hill was really funny
-
I'm glad KOTH is coming to Adult Swim, they better replace the fucking hour of Family Guy reruns every night.
-
all of SA hates king of the hill because its got morality plays in it but I like it anyway.
-
King of the hill is pretty ace and I can't comprehend how anybody with an IQ higher than 5 is like readily anticipating the Cleveland show.
-
Personally I would rather see a Greased-Up Deaf Guy show.
-
It is rather sad that subtlety has been defenestrated in modern animated comedy. Still, I presume it is not unexpected; this trend has been going on since The Simpsons started sucking.
-
It was still going?
I was quite surprise too.
-
arrgggggggh resisting urge...NO I CAN'T, PLEASE TELL ME WHO DEFENESTRATED AN ELEMENT OF MODERN ANIMATED COMEDY SINGLE HANDEDLY.
don't just use big words, defenestration can only be done by one individual idea or person to another individual idea or person and it's either literal or applied to politics, you mean "subtlety has been discarded".

Man, Mike Judge is starting to lose touch.
I really want to see another Beavis and Butthead.

Not gettin' hassled, not gettin' hussled. Keepin' your head above water, makin' a way when you can. Temporary layoffs, Goode Times! Easy credit ripoffs, Goode Times. Scratchin' and survivin', Goode Time! Hangin' in a chow line, Goode Ti-i-i-i--imes.
:welp:

Why give Cleveland his own show anyway? He's the least interesting character in the entire cast (except Meg).
A...affirmative action...
-
This sucks. This and AD are the only shows I really like on fox anymore.

King of the Hill is the best show on TV dudes. It's sad to see it go, but to be honest I expected the last few seasons to be the last.
My only problem is what's going to be replacing it. It would be one thing if it was just that King of the Hill was done, but I'm pissed off over the fact that King of the Hill is done and AMERICAN DAD IS COMING BACK ALSO SOME CLEVELAND SHOW. Fuck that shit, Family Guy isn't even funny anymore (although to be honest the more I watch older episodes the less I find to laugh at), hey let's keep playing Surfin' Bird over and over again that's funny right? EPISODE COMPLETE
They didn't even put on a new episode last night, there was a new King of the Hill, and a new Simpson's (I guess, I wouldn't really recognize if it was new or not but I think it was), but Family Guy showed the Surfin' Bird episode again. And you know what? I half expected it to be a new episode where they were doing the same jokes again to be all "HEH LOOK WE'RE DOING IT *TWICE*"
Man though I don't think King of the Hill should be on adult swim though. It doesn't really fit in with the adult swim shows at all. Why not just keep showing it on Fox/FX only have a fucking consistent schedule for once (right now fox just plays it whenever they feel like it it seems)
edit: also it'll be interesting to see this new show! Mike Judge does good shit as far as I'm concerned.

DESPITE WHAT CHAPPELLE'S SHOW WILL HAVE YOU BELIEVE the line is actually hangin' in and jivin' (http://www.timeout.com/newyork/articles/music/2662/backstage-with-alan-and-marilyn-bergman)

I used to watch this on a regularly basis before around after Highschool when I had to work every single bloody weekend and could never watch a new episode of the Simpsons or King Of The Hill...it was a misunderstood show, but it had it's funny and great moments...this is just another show of my childhood going away, to think! All I have now from the old days are the Simpsons, and that could be gone in the next 2 - 5 years...man...this seriously means I'm getting old.
I'm going to miss this show. R.I.P :fogetcry:

what man i never watch chappelles show and i thought the same thing! i think everyone does! that's really weird to hear (obviously it's true going by that site but that is just WEIRD)

Interviewers are often told to avoid inconsequential questions, such as what is your favorite color or favorite food. I'm curious; is there a food you would never write a song about?
Marilyn: Cilantro.
Alan: Bananas! I don't know what it is about them, I just can't stand bananas... I think it's the concept of a fruit that you open. Bananas are the only food found in nature that you have to open. Well, there are fruits like oranges and limes, but those you peel—
Marilyn: You peel bananas too, Alan.
ahahaha that interview rules
-
@earlcihp: that made me laugh lol
also, this show was funny sometimes, but i couldn't watch it cause it just seemed really gross somehow... so many stumpy legs :fogetsad:
-
I didn't write it, it's part of the extended interview/outtakes. I think you gotta log in to see it.

...Yep...
It was a good show and Dale is my most favorite paranoid conspiracy theorist.

Show was pretty damn awesome! Hank Hill is a hoot, especially when he makes that disturbed sound like "uHUHuhuhUH BOBBY!! What the hell are you doin' boy!"
