Oke so I just watched 11.14, for those which are unknown with this film here's the plot: 'The events leading up to an 11:14 PM car crash, from five very different perspectives.'
It was fairly entertaining and was put together solid leaving enough to explain in the last segment... however it did not offer anything else besides a well constructed timeline. last week I watched Magnolia as well... and even though the characters could intersect more and the topic of 'Fate' / 'A matter of chance ( as the movie puts it)' fell into the background to much. On the other side Magnolia did add more drama and did beef up the characters more.
So anyways what others movies are out there similar to these two, and lets discuss them
PS: don't mention Crash.. or you'll wake Roman

They're termed "hyperlink" movies.
Yeah, I liked 11:14 a lot despite it having some major flaws. Magnolia too. I guess if you're looking for intersecting character storylines, check out:

And: didn't see it yet, but there's a new foreign film called "Gomorra" that follows the style.

Memento is just non-linear, not really a hyperlink film. One of my favourite movies.

21 grams is one of my absolute favorites, Babel I watched not to long ago and it was great. And I was able to link both films very quickly, but I never knew he had a thrilogy going.
Looking for Amores Perros on bol.com right away... it sound like my kind of movie...
On a side note: Just watched La Haine, cant say it has anything to do with this topic but I strongly recommend that film...

Pulp Fiction was oke... It was based more on a anthology structure than Hyperlink ( thx for the term Strangeluv )
Viewpoint.. is it from 2004? because IMDB doesnt even have a synopsis, could you give a short one Bravo?
As for momento: Loved the style, worked great with the climax, however Irreversible used the element alot better; did anyone see this one?

Pulp Fiction was still three or four subplots intersecting, though.
Anyway, I don't know if Love Actually counts?
I'm also tempted to mention the Guy Ritchie films "Snatch" and "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels".

They're more a "change of fate" type of movies though

Anyways, Run Lola run seems interresting. I like the synopsis for Sliding doors but I keep getting the feeling that its some chick-flick, is it?
Also anyone else know anything about 'viewpoint'

gonna take a guess and say he meant Vantage Point (2008) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0443274/) with the caveat that it's a shitty movie.
edit: Man I hate Dennis Quaid.

anyway yeah Lola Rennt is great grab it while it's hot.

also the twist in crash was pretty cool but holy shit it was predictable

Pulp Fiction is my favorite of this genre. But 11:14 was not at all a mindfuck, and neither are most other hyperlink films.

Ahh so he meant Vantage point, the setup of vantage point was interresting, though They could have done allot more with it.
And I guess your right Xanqui, 11.14 wasn't really a mindfuck. But both genres do go hand in hand, so any movies out there who apply both structures are welcome in my book.
Anyways I just watched Intacto (Spanish), and it was quite nice actually. the synopsis made it seem like a super trippy hyperlink. It still had the right setup but lacked the right structure and thus didn't feel like a hyperlink. In general: Intacto was really well done, had a nice theme, setting and apparently works great for a second, third or even fourth viewing to get all the little details.
Still haven't watched 'Amores Perros', its next on my list tho. As for La Haine; I just mentioned it for the hell of it, since I had just seen it and its scenes were still floating around in my mind
