Charity info: All profit from shirt sales goes directly to Bart's Paypal account every quarter. I touch none of this money. The profits presumably go to making GW a better place for everyone.
T-Shirts are$17.99$16.99 each, and ringers are$20.99$19.99 each plus shipping and handling. All major credit cards (VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, and DISCOVER), as well as check and money order are accepted.
Here's how it breaks down:Code:[Select]Retail Cost of One (1) Normal T-Shirt: $16.99
Production Cost of One (1) Normal T-Shirt: - $14.40

Proceeds from One (1) Shirt: $4.09What constitutes the production costs of a shirt? (Click to reveal)Well, the shirts I use (Heavyweight Cotton) cost $9.90 plus the cost of putting the design on ($3). All of the designs used are complex, which adds a $3 fee on top of that, which brings us to $15.90. The total that goes to GW ($2.59) is put on top of that, which brings us to $16.99, the final price. You can read more about this here (http://www.spreadshirt.com/us/US/Service/FAQs-1328/categoryId/8/articleId/11).
P.S. I have no idea how the cost went down by $1.50, but it did, and I'm taking advantage of it.
On New Designs: Certainly, the designs I suggested up in the poll are not the only ones possible, just ones that come to mind right now. I certainly will take other designs (for instance, if someone from PerfectRun or other guys want to put up a shirt based on one of their games, etc) and will work with the design submitter on getting these proofed and ready to press.
Here's the thing, though. Spreadshirt has absurdly stringent vector design criteria. I have not yet submitted a design that has passed their vector criteria, even though it seems like 9 times out of 10 I make a design that seems to fit the design criteria and they reject it anyway. Here is the most frequent rejection I get:
So, here's what I'll do. We can propose designs in this topic, and get them proofed. The first person to crack the "vector code" and give me a vector design they will accept will get a sample shirt of their design, AND another T-Shirt of their choosing, both shipping paid. Please submit your design in either .ai (Adobe Illustrator Format) or .eps (encapsulated postscript format). Anyone that submits a design that goes on a shirt, regardless of whether or not it is accepted as a vector, automatically gets a sample T-Shirt for testing purposes and as a reward for submitting the design. I want you to know before you consider this that you will get no monetary return for your designs. I don't see any profit from this operation at all! This is something that you can do to help out GW and maybe get a little recognition for your art in the process. This is the chance for Graphic Art people to step up to the plate and get a design out there!
I would buy one if the design were to feature Steel roaring at the head of an angry mob, chasing a shadowed individual out of a battered town on a desert road bordered by a dusty wooden sign with "Gaming World" in spaghetti western letters.
Just as a matter of interest, say I wanted to draw the design I mentioned before and scan it in would I be limited by the number of colours allowed or anything else like that? Also what is the maximum area you can have on a given shirt. Shirts that have designs that reach beyond an emblem on the chestplate are a lot nicer and less samey than a shirt with a design constrained to a small space (if you get what I mean).
there could be a barkley shirt that could say:On a serious note, a Charles Barkley shirt would fucking rock.
Chaos Dunk 2053: Never Forget
or like I Survived the Postcyberapocolypse
also I really don't know about these shirt designs. ARE YOU RESISTINS ME? DRAGONSLAYERS MUST THINK BEYOND NORMAL? MAYBE EROTIC FOR CHILD? who the fuck would ever want to be caught dead wearing any of this? I think more people would be willing to buy a shirt if we avoided having stupid inside jokes and internet memes as shirts.yeah, that's what I'm saying! less dumb phrases and more clever designs
yeah, that's what I'm saying! less dumb phrases and more clever designsdidnt you buy two
didnt you buy twoi bought pinecones to support my man adeline. i mean yeah its a phrase shirt but it's nowhere nearly as dumb as most other shit you'll find written on t-shirts
i think i'll take three of the foget shirts and maybe a couple pinecone shirts too. anyone think they can make a few bart legoman shirts that say "shittabear" too?
Soooo...is there an actual shop...where I can actually buy these?step into my van......... :sly:
I think the livejournal one is a legit phrase thing though. like it's internet humor but almost every social network has some dumb CURRENT MOOD thing, so anyone can get it. and if you're looking for a shirt someone who is not online ever will get you'd never buy a shirt online anyway.i think all shirts with LOL HILARIOUS PHRASES on them are really, really, really dumb tbh
btw the problem that maybe some people mentioned but maybe not is that normal non-internet people cannot differentiate between internet people. sa, gw, 4chan, and any other type of internet humor is basically just lumped together as IDK ITS ABOUT THE INTERNET. so wearing a shirt with a statement about kissing internet dads is essentially the same thing as wearing an ALL YOUR BASE t-shirt, because most people you meet in your daily life cannot distinguish between these two types of internet humor. no one here would be caught dead wearing an all your base shirt (i hope) sooooo yeah. it just looks like you are making <random gay internet reference> and that is awful.
Soooo...is there an actual shop...where I can actually buy these?this is a very good question!
this is a very good question!Awesome. I still love "Just ate a pine cone" and "I use Qs insteqd of Qs." I dunno why, I just do.

Steel:
You can have a semper games shirt without it being like we're selling out.
yeah i'm pretty sure i'd never ever wear any of these. i don't know what kind of COOL DESIGNS you can have though that would still reference gw in some subtle way...any ideas?Actually, I wouldn't wear a shirt that references GW at all. Ever. I'd rather not have my friends see some of the crap I post. :D
If there were a MONOPOLO shirt, I would right now buy that and the Q's shirt. Like right now.
monopolo is the new barkley.
i bought pinecones to support my man adeline. i mean yeah its a phrase shirt but it's nowhere nearly as dumb as most other shit you'll find written on t-shirtsi would never wear a pinecone shirt :cake:
i am not sure mr. silver4donuts would relinquish the rights to the property
I want my Saltworld shirt. Thank you. Goodnight. So if I made the SHITTABEAR shirt (with current graphic shown by christo) and I dunno some sort of Saltworld shirt, would you legitimately buy them?
Sweet beans...
Also damnit it's so typical of S4D to get banned when he's needed, I can't even PM him.
Also I'll get the shittabear one up within the next few days.
(this is actually a serious question because if I get round to resubmitting my barkley design and it goes through I would not be able to claim my free t-shirt/s!)
oh yeah, you are still owed that shirt! just placing emphasis on this post (i already handed the design over to carius)
aaah thanks pasty now I have an extra bone to pick ;)
Hey for the pixel art based designs, just make sure you scale them by using "nearest neighbour" scaling and it should look good. Nearest neighbour pretty much makes it still look like pixel art instead of blurring the pixels into fuzzy circles. Its called that in photoshop, in other programs its prolly something like turning "SMOOTHING" or "INTERPOLATION" off in the scaling options.
heh also these fogeticon smiley shirts.... its sorta like as if it was one of my designs right.... do I get a free shirt...
