no man, this game is the worst:
That's an odd coincidence, I was watching a playthrough of the game on youtube wondering "what did people see in this?"
my old hosuemate got a 3d0 then a pile of games in the mail. we played this one SO MANY TIMES AHHHH but couldn't get past the first level. we were very much ready for a double suicide. This is dragon's lair or w/e?? I had this for my atari ST it was on like 20 floppy drives and I liked the animation but couldn't make anything happen.

But anyway, I'm glad NIS is trying something different--i.e., not making Disgaea again. I never got the point of GRIND TILL LEVEL 99999 FOR NO REASON. I probably wouldn't get this if I had a PSP though just out of bitterness of Rhapsody DS being a fucking BROKEN game (that would lock up in a place so you couldn't get past that part of the game, fail to save, and it was missing content they promised). But, if NIS tries new things, even under the guise of Disgaea, until they finally start branching out to new franchises, there may be hope for them yet.
what!? this happens!? didn't they fix it and send out new ones??
I watched a few clips of Prinny and it looks really easy, so does it have some sorta limited movement/controls, or why would you put this up there with any GnG game?
I guess the one-hit kill mode is pretty unforgiving but still, you pretty much wipe the floor with the enemies if any of the gameplay clips are truthful.
it came out in 1983 when the height of "interactive virtual entertainment" was limited to moving a green dot across a screen
marcus have you seen that kanye vid that is just a ralph bakshi cartoon?
between that and akira I am wondering who in kanye's staff is the big animation fan.
BUT if i grew up in the 70s where the only game available was electric football i'd probably piss my pants seeing a cartoon i could control.
I have yet to figure out why Dragon's Lair was the one that became so popular.
Marketing. Everyone knew about Dragon's Lair. Something being good doesn't mean it should be popular or the other way around.
I think it's pretty cool a game gives you a thousand lives and expects you to lose them all. Much better than the old way of designing those anyways... Do you respawn where you died or back at the start of the level?

Where exactly is this hint?
When I got this game, I was expecting it to at least have some rpg elements in the game, like levels and equipment but the only rpg element is talking to other prinnies, that's probably why fans of Nippon Ichi games hated it.
It would be great if Nippon Ichi could make a rip off of GTA, called Grand theft Prinny. I'd like to see what a prinny with a machine gun and sun glasses would look like.
it would look like a prinny with a machine gun and sunglasses, jesus.
