so i'm not sure how many of you have heard (or how many of you are faith no more/patton fans), but it's happening!

after 11 years, the band's doin it again

i don't get the appeal of mike patton. his music is pretty terrible and he comes off like a huge moron pretty constantly

I hate to sound like a douchebag fanboy, but you just don't understand.

This is good news, but Faith No More is easily one of his least exciting projects. Not that I don't prefer FNM over like... Peeping Tom, but I never thought Faith No More really showed his true talents. But this is still awesome and I'm excited and I hope they come to an area near me.

I'm more interested in that collaboration between him and Doseone and that guy from TV On The Radio. Living a very long fucking way away from this tour probably helps.

while patton is one of my favorites, i can easily see why somebody would call him a moron, bareback. he's a great debate for the fine line between innovative and stupid. i just think of him as some dude doing whatever the hell he wants.
he's even said he can't listen to some of his own work, like the two a-capella albums he did.

I actually like some faith no more stuff

"easy" and "epic" come to mind as my favorites, patton isn't the best but I like his spirit and style. How does he come off as a moron? I saw a clip of him rapping at a concert and telling a heckler he was going to kick his ass after the show but I thought that was hilarious so...

oh yeah I forgot about people spitting on him and shit, did he do that? Yeah that is pretty dumb but I don't think he's a horrible vocalist or anything, the band as a whole aren't exceptional and its pretty much hit or miss with them and more so miss than hit.

If it was Mr Bungle related i'd be interested, but after hearing the infamous 'yoooou want i aaaall' (was that on Tony Hawks or something?) the other day, i'm not hugely bothered.

Still, if they put out something good then more power to them.

yeah, it was. the songs called "epic" and patton got sick to death of singing it. some of his later performances of it are pretty funny (read: fucked up)

I also agree that Patton can be a pompous jackass, but I still like him a lot.

I do think it's really sad that Faith No More is only known for Epic, because that's easily my least favorite of their songs.

i've been listening to angel dust a lot recently. Some of it is really amazing, Patton uses a lot of vocal styles I think most of you aren't even aware he has. Plus bass solo ftw.

i think patton just speaks his mind but doesn't worry about bullshit he doesn't like. i've never heard about him being a jackass, EXCEPT the time he called Wolfmother out. but i don't like them either, so ha.
