Yep, got around to picking up MadWorld earlier today and have put a bit of time into it. It's actually pretty fun for a brawler centered around killing your opponents in different ways because of how much you have you disposal and a lot of what you can do with that stuff. I'm not that far yet (or if I am, I didn't find a way to use a weapon I found to do it with) but I know in one of the videos you could skewer like three or four guys on a huge pipe and then use that to beat up everyone else with. What I have been able to do however is some of the stuff you may have seen already like plowing a traffic sign through someone's head, knocking them into a killing tumbler for a "rosebush" achievement kill and doing one of the sickest backbreakers I've ever seen. Still trying to get the cominbation kill thing down and discovering different ways to be "creative" with that aspect. It's a fun brawler though I'm only an hour or so in and I know some reviews talked up the potential for it to get repetitive for some eventually. We shall see.

That being said it looks pretty interesting game, I'll probably buy it when it's out in 10 days here in Europe.

Looks interesting, though the whole black and white look would probably give me a huge headache after a while.

I've been following this game since I saw it's first article in Nintendo Power. It looks interesting and it looks better in action than it does in a screenshot. This makes me glad I didnt sell my Wii yet.
Though, I'm not really expecting anything big from it. But i will most likely pick it up

Just got it yesterday, its great. It reminds me of streets of rage with a great amount of blood. However, the camera SUCKS!

hey ryan i have this weird thought that maybe you will listen to me as I think for some unfathomable reason you have a low yield respect for my opinions so here it is: quit it. kezay is a nintendo plant, we know this (I mean the dude even got rewarded by a thing in Nintendo Power as I recall), but as there are maybe two games anyone ever wants to play on the Wii anyway the fact that he made a topic about it should be ignored.
I mean if we had some "what's the best console" topic, or someone asked for "best videogame soundtracks" and he was still doing this, sure, but this is the second time you've done this apropos of nothing (see gr...) and it's making you look dumb.

KEZAY YOUR HAND IS ENORMOUS
This looks not so great, but I love the black and white thing, so at very least I will get it out of the used bin. My poor wii hasn't anything in it but Smash bros since last summer.

Maybe it's from my perspective but my hand really doesn't look that big. Some people say my forearms look big too but I don't see it. Then again, my hand is a bit closer to the camera since the game is laying down but my hand is raised. :P
Anyway, I'm surprised because some people are worried the black and white might split their eyeballs or something. :P Thing is, if you like challenge in your games, if you do ever get around to this, play it on Hard Mode. I'm playing it on Normal right now and while the game is difficult in spots, it's not until the fourth mission in the game where enemies do more than just stand around as you beat down their buddies before they themselves move in, one by one.

Camera indeed does suck. It didn't bother me so much until I got to Asian Town since there are a lot of areas you can get some platforming in and things like that. Not sure if you're that far though, but if you are I have a question about two things that almost seem unnecessary but XIII made it seem like they had some importance.

I really don't want to get into this. none of it is relevant. I'll post something in AM about it. okay, so Kezay only posts Nintendo topics buuuuut there are also zero Nintendo games out right now. I might have posted this topic just because of what a shock it is that Nintendo is not only releasing a new game, but that it's not part of an old series and it's apparently violent. in that Nintendo DS topic, it was kind of a lame topic yeah because portable GTA whoaaaaa this already happened but once again, the DS sees so few releases does it matter? someone's motive does not matter when we have like zero Nintendo topics anyway. back when we had a cabal of idiots who just jerked off on everything Nintendo did, it was annoying, but now it is one guy posting topics that really anyone could post, and while we know he's Nintendo obsessed, I'm not sure it matters in such small doses! let it go!

I didn't really mean anything at all by creating this thread other than to talk about MadWorld and I do appreciate that there are some in the thread who are actually discussing the subject matter which is all it's really for. The ideas some have about how I hold myself on this board is really nothing new, but having my threads these days boil down to stuff like what you see here I don't think is all that necessary either.
By the by Liquid Ocelot, how far are you into the game?

i guess i will say something about this game.
i watched the deathmatch trailers. they were half way funny and half way dumb. i'm sure the game would be some fun to slash around but i really don't want to trick myself into being interested in another game so i'm not gonna look at it anymore.

Yeah, the game really doesn't take itself too seriously as a lot of the commentator dialogue borders on cheesy. At times you get the idea that there is something more serious going on behind it all, but then you're right back to slamming traffic signs through people's skulls. But for a brawler, it's fun for what it is but not like OHMYGOD epic or anything like that.

Actually NO, I don't see how it is so fucking funny that you have to point it out in every fucking topic ever. Maybe it was slightly funny when people realized it five years ago.
I might buy this but honestly I can't be arsed to plug out my 360 and put the Wii back, I haven't used that thing in like a year now. If anything would make me pick it up again though, it would be Sin and Punishment 2, or this.

Just got there myself. It's actually taking me a while because I totally did not realize that there are separate DeathWatch challenges you can complete (like getting all the orbs in the first Asian Town stage) so I've been trying to go back and complete some others, and finding some other cool stuff in the process.
HOWEVER...
The stage with Jude the Dude, the DW challenge there is to collect three Bull Masks and I have no idea where they are. There are bull enemies (which is probably the key) but if there is a way to rip their faces off or something I can't figure it out.

Had to return it to my video store, it was only a rent. However, my friend told me I got halfway through the game. Not bad, when I get money I will definitely buy this.
