Title: Spore Expansion: Galactic Adventures
Post by: Ball Lightning on March 20, 2009, 10:27:45 am: Spore was a let down for many people, and it seems that Maxis has listened. The new expansion called Galactic Adventures allows you to create your own missions for others to play in the space stage, you can also beam down to planets. This Creates much needed gameplay for Spore.

There have been many videos on Galactic Adventures (http://sporedum.net/spore-expansion-galactic-adventure/spore-expansion-galactic-adventures-videos/") of late and Sporedum have had a hard look into those videos. There are many quirky things that they found, and also the discovery of over 400 maxis made objects. They looked at how adventures are laid out, and show that complexity will not be an issue for you when you create your adventures. Sporedum also captured screenshots of some of the new tools your hero can use, including sword fighting, rocket launchers and more. Also from what they have seen it is possible to interact with objects, and you can give missions to retrieve or destroy them.

Hasn't Spore revolved around user-generated content since the beginning?

This doesn't seem to be worth buying to me, i've had enough of spore.

Terrific, so all the new, probably fun gameplay happens after the garbage of the game that made me not like it in the first place. That dude said you can interact with objects. I bet you can dance for them.

yeah, it really looks like they are taking a mmo-style approach to extra content. add all the extra (non-aesthetic) content to the end of the game where most people already are, rather than fix/improve anything earlier in the game.

also the tidepool stage was dull as hell, wtf

it.. wasnt, tho? the game was a failure in itself but creature + space stages were still more fun than tidepool

Post by: Kaworu on March 21, 2009, 09:54:26 pm: I got to tribal stage before being sick and bored and giving up, but the tidepool was more fun than tribal and creature. The only fun time I had in creature was running away from barney the dinosaur while he smashed the nest of my enemies(who were all homer simpsons)
