So my friend told me today that he is going to be acting in an independent film entitled "checkout time".
He said that he went with buddy to check it out and they bumped him into auditions and gave him a leading role even though he tried out for something else.
The movie is supposed to be about a group of friends that take shrooms and trip balls, but one of them freaks out and disappears so the movie is about the remaining group trying to find him while they're tripping. My friend is going to be playing the guy that disappears. He showed me an e-mail from the film staff I guess saying that he was getting the role because they needed someone who was a trained fighter and the biggest scene he'll be in is one where his character will "beat the shit out of someone and piss on them". He also told me that this movie is supposed to be a true story about whoever is the guy making the movie. I can't remember if its the director or producer but he has a chain of hotels or something and they'll be recording the movie somewhere around one of his hotels.
Anyways this sounds like its going to be pretty hilarious. My friend said he's going to try to get a copy of his audition and I'll upload it if he gets it. I was wondering if anyone that follows indie films around here could have possibly heard of it? He told me they were considering putting the movie at the sundance film festival or some shit like that when they're done with it.

Do you like, have any info about the filmmakers, imdb pages etc?

The only name I got is Rocco Valluzzo and nothing comes up with that but when I find out more I'll post it.
