This is one of those 'help me find an old game' threads.
So I'm looking for this old (most likely DOS) game I played on Win95 where you had an army that you built yourself filled with druids, clerics, arches, theifs, and things like that. You progresed through levels and your army would level up and you could buy more troops at any given time.
I originally got the game off of AOL's old kid's-only games section (I think... this game surprisingly had blood splatter where you killed people) and now I cannot find it!
So any help from you chaps would be appreciated :)

Okay fuckin ace I found this by inputting a wall of search terms... it seems that the game was called Gladiator. If only I could find a download...

If #OLDGames on efnet still existed I'd send you there
Try looking for IRC channels, some have some pretty good retro game/dos games fserves on them

Ta-dah! Is that the one?

Yes that is the one!
I've found what's called OpenGlad which is virtually the game I remember. I think it's based off the actual source code... it runs on everything, instead of just DOS (playing this archaic game on Vista is hilarious but satisfying).
This shit is as good as I remember it being.

Oh god i remember gettign the shareware of this game on one of my many old disks which had like 700 shareware games on em. I was really awful at it, but it was cool.
