The next game in the Thief series has been announced! It is being developed my Eidos Montreal. Kinda worried cause who the hell thought up the idea of putting l33t speak in a Thief logo? Doesn't even make sense!!! Thiaf?? Assuming 4 = A.

Haha thiaf

i think you mean THIAF and not THEAF but yeah that is definitely dumb. 4 does not look at all like an E.

I'm kinda interested about another Thief game, because afaik they're pretty cool games
But... THI4F? Yeah..........
Also, Montreal pride.
Yep. Should be good.
But.. it's highly likely it won't be Garrett this time around, huh? If anyone remembers or even saw the Thief 3 ending..

Actually a while back there was talk of "rebooting" Thief into a modern game. So kinda cyberpunk instead of steampunk. You'd still use stealth and melee, and guards will mostly be melee based. Garrett again would be the main character (tho a bit modern). Dunno if that is the direction they are heading.
Here was a concept art of the "modern" Garrett.

Seems fitting I guess. I like it.

This announcement reminds me that I haven't actually played any of the Thief games, even though I have heard so many good things about them I haven't played any of them.
Are they awesome? Cause next time I am in EBGames I'll pick them up, I'm sure there's a pack of the three games in there somewhere.

I loved Thiaf 1 and loved Thiaf 2 even more. Thiaf DS seemed to completely lose all of the charm and polish of the previous games, especially in regards to the general missions. Every single mission (save the cradle) felt identical in Thiaf DS and I got bored with it so quickly. I'm hoping that when Ion Storm shut down they got rid of all the guys that made DS/Invisible War too, otherwise this game will be cock as well.
They better get back the same voice actor for Garrett though, whoever that is is absolutely phenomenal.

i think you mean thiaf atari
thank you are right i do

i dont care how good/bad it is, i already want to play it

I tried Thiaf DS, but I couldn't get into it. Mainly because it took forever to get working, and after I did... no sound. I think the problem was either that it doesn't support Dual Core, or the fact that it was a "free" copy.
