You could use a 1 in place of the "I" or pull up the virtual keyboard or something... it's installed on every windows computer (XP/Vista/7) afaik.

More 3DS stuff, including more game info: http://e3.nintendo.com/3ds/

A new Paper Mario game in the classic RPG style. I can't wait.
Star Fox 64 remake.
Ghost Recon looks like a turn-based strategy game instead of a FPS.

I like this.
You missed it, there's an Ocarina of Time remake too  :fogetgasp:

I am not joking. I think Nintendo pulled the images though. We should see it pop up again in the coming days.

I don't know what all the gripe is about with this new Zelda. I think it looks fantastic. Artistically looks good on aging Wii hardware.

The 3DS has me floored. I did not expect to see such an awesome handheld come from Nintendo after they had rehashed the DS so many times. I thought the 3DS would be the same low-res crap-graphics DS with some gimmicky 3D on top. Granted... I can't see the 3D effect for myself so judgement need be reserved on that... it's nice to see the handheld at least on par with the PSP as far as graphics go. It'll be interesting to see how Sony counters (if at all... perhaps the PSP can hold it's own for the time being).

I'm your guy for logitech mice.

I've owned and used thoroughly all of the following: MX518, G5, G7, G7 revised, G9, G500

My current mouse is the G500... my brothers have my MX518 and G7. Of all the mice, this one is my absolute favorite:

That's right... the first gen G7.

I love the glossy feel, the fact that it's wireless, how it glides, the perfect weight. It has it's flaws... that being short battery life (have to change battery every 6 hours... takes about 10 seconds to do) and a number of them are defective and have issues with disconnecting from the receiver intermittently. But if you get a good working one... it's the mouse to beat, imo.

I use the G500. It's good, but not great. The cord is really a buzzkill... frictionless scroll is mostly useless... the buttons on the side aren't as useful as I thought they'd be... nor are they very comfortable to use. I don't like the texture of this mouse either. If you need high sensitivity and want customizable weight... this mouse has got the DPI you're looking for.

The MX518 is my second favorite mouse. It has 2 very ergonomic side buttons and is just very comfortable. The cord isn't as bad as the G500 either. It seems to be a flatter mouse which I like. It glides better than the G500. The G500 is basically the same shape yet somehow bulkier... needlessly so, I think.

So in order of favorite to least favorite:

G7>MX518>G7 revised>G500>G5>G9

And here i have my Windows 7 set to olde-windows 2000 style in an effort to make this machine run at all.
Lol, you need some new hardware man! You probably could run the fish tank background like you see in my vid, it would just not be economical for your CPU. It puts a whopping 3% full-time strain on my Core-i5. For you it would probably be something in the ballpark of 35%, assuming you have a P4.

Dude you totally should!

I just realized how much information you can get out of that video. Fuck. You can tell my first name, at least one of my contacts, where I live... I think that about covers it. W/e. Not like you couldn't find any of that shit by a quick google search of my original user name for GW.

I miss the ask/tell or poll forum or whatever it was. I think it was ultimately removed because it was getting redundant or spammy or something? Maybe there were too many stupid polls? I thought it was really interesting to be able to get a quick and easy poll about just about any issue or thing and then discuss it.

Once the poll forum died and topics stopped being interesting/funny in the general, I stopped coming to GW with such frequency and now I generally only check what's going down in the computer shit forum.

I'm one of those hardcore Earthbound fanboys. I love the game... played it so many times as a kid. There are parts that are not-so-fun, but you have to look at the sum of its parts rather than the parts themselves.

Metroid Prime also ranks up there in my favorites. The atmosphere for that game was simply phenomenal. It really did feel like you were exploring an alien planet. Metroid Prime was more of an experience to me than a game.

What he means is that, historically speaking, the first gen of any new DX iteration are barely powerful enough to push the features they tout. Look at the 8800GTS 320MB, for example. It was released around a $310 price point. The card dominated DX9 games, but when DX10 games started coming out the card couldn't push decent frame rates at all. The GTX 260 is a much more capable DX10 card and will give much better frame rates at higher resolutions.

The 5770 is similar in that it runs current games pretty well... but we haven't really seen anything as far as DX11 goes yet. Once DX11 games start hitting the market, we'll find the 5770 just can't deliver the frame rates at the resolution we'll want.

For your new rig start here: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-gaming-cpu,2599.html

Find the best processor on this list in your price range. Find a cheap motherboard with the matching socket. Figure out if you can afford to get 4gb of RAM that matches the motherboard... if not, 2gb should be adequate for most modern gaming situations (newest games/Crysis might choke a bit). You'll want at least a 500w power supply... but make sure it's a quality PSU (in most cases this is more important than max wattage!). This will help you determine what power supply to get: http://www.eggxpert.com/forums/thread/323050.aspx
You likely will be wasting money if you get anything higher than a 700w PSU.

What else... oh yeah case. Get what looks appealing and fits your budget. Read reviews before you take the plunge.

Spend whatever is left in your budget to get the best video card you can as this will directly affect your gaming performance. Some good and affordable video cards include the 9600 GT, Radeon 4770, 4850, or if you instead want to play with the big boys get the 5850.

That symbol is a Tilde not a Tilda (even though it is pronounced "til-duh")... I think you made a mistake in your spelling.

Man what Ragnar says is so true. Shame usually the computers I find in yard sales are really old pieces of shit not worth fixing whatever minor problem they have. Given that our family already has 6 computers, 3 of which are gaming computers... we really have no use for any more computers.

I have a neighbor though that goes through laptops like toilet paper. He makes a lot of money and prefers to just get a new one when something goes wrong than try to fix whatever issue is wrong with his current.

Also for the record, the computer I was offering is no longer for sale. My drug addict uncle apparently needs a system and my mom has paid me hansomely to give it to him. Sorry Dust, but you didn't pay up quick enough  :welp:

You'll figure something out.

i really love vids of game glitches.  there are quite a few for both fifa 10 and pes 10 (mostly from the demos) but none of them came anywhere close to that one in being totally awesome.

someone link me to more really extreme game glitches i want more like that one
This one's funny and makes no sense: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-PBS4gNb5go
It's from Just Cause 2 which just came out a week ago. Not quite as awesome as yours but still good.

Dust and I have been PMing back and forth - there's a small chance he might find an alternative computer/way to host this web server of his on.

I hate to do this but just for curiosity's sake, is anyone else interested in buying this? The machine is worth more than I am asking if eBay is anything to go by. It is also worth noting that the case it is housed in is brand new and can be found here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811233062

For $60:
Mobo + CPU + RAM + 40GB HDD + Basic DVD Rom drive + Case
+$10
Newer (less than a year old) Lite-on DVD Burner
+$70
Brand new Hitachi 1 TB hard drive

Anyone willing on turning this into an auction? lol

How much cheaper do you want this thing to go? I kind of want the DVD burner in it since it's pretty new. If you don't think you'll have much use for that in this machine, I can switch it out with an old DVD rom drive and knock $10 off the price.

Okay, I looked it up on USPS and UPS and it seems like UPS is the more cost efficient route. I'd be shipping it from Minnesota - it's going to cost around $15 to ship and take 3 days to get there.

With the 40GB drive and shipping factored, total cost comes to $75. Choose your pre-installed OS (I'll give you the disc and code too, of course) and I'll ship it off tomorrow if you can pay today through PayPal.

I recommend XP for no other reason than that this computer doesnt have a good enough onboard GPU to run aero in Vista/7 (and I have a lot more XP keys than 7 lol)... oh yeah and XP is kind of a workhorse.
