Little background: The power supply on my computer was having issues but I had no trouble fixing it; however, immediately afterward my hard drive began clicking on bootup. Now it's making a "rev" sound as if its having trouble spinning and then clicking, clicking, clicking endless and freezing my computer up for a good 5 mins.
I've done some research and from what I hear this means the inevitable death of my hard drive ... is there anything I can do to fix this or should I just start backing up my files before its TOO ALTE .

I have some games on my HD that I'm considering backing up if there is. I don't about just MAKING TOPIC FOR GAME but I don't want to get rid of like 20 old-ass RPG maker games if we don't.

(Seriously what section would this go in?)

Anyone into them? Not necessarily for J-RPGs either, any genre. I remember thinking they were p. lame too but I started one in FFX recently and Ifind they breathe life back into  games you've beaten already and strategy can be pretty fun at times. I know they're mostly for jobless people with the time to game for hours and the Youtube etc community for them is all Koreans, but what do you think of em ?

To summarise, a novel was vandalized and I was punished for writing gay erotica in novel. I wont go into details.  The principal called my mother  and inquired as to if I was "viewing questionable material on the internet because I' m into bestiality apparently ." I was forced to see the school psychiatrist shortly afterward and on her list of questions from the principal was if i was gay. basically, i feel a bit violated and I was wondering if the school can do this and whatever, because the principal thinks im a bestiality loving homosexual now.   Excuse the bad typing I'm on my PS3.                          Looking forward to the inevitable jokeposts...

Now that I've posted in 7 topics in a row, I'm going to make one. ok go.

Basically, I put a good few million hours into making a functional battle system not unlike what you'd find in Chimera Report ... or FFXII if you don't know what Chimera report is; however, the amount of trouble I'm going to have to go to to implement new monsters, add events to every map, etc. is pretty daunting and I see many people complain that ABS's are garbage. I really want to scrap it, but I'm really unsure because of how long it took me. ~Halp. I'm thinking of just having a really functional DBS.

Do you prefer to play it out? Or would you rather it be uncovered slowly and built upon by the actions/dialogue of the character? Personally, I'd rather it be built upon, because, provided the story is well-written, there can be a bit more suspense, etc. and it improves the story. It's something to look forward to in large, verbose dialogue sections, if you will.

Then again, if possible, I'd prefer to launch this plot element into the sun because it is overly cliched, but if need be.

Peta has gone above and beyond and is now soliciting members/sympathizers to donate their organs so they can use them for trollin'. Seriously, I know they believe this to be an act of martyrdom ... but isn't this a bit far? (Yes, I know this is one will. But Peta seems to be expecting that others follow in Ingrids footsteps. INGRID STARTS A REVOLUTION@.) I'm aware that Peta has done retarded things like this in the past, but never to this level. It seems like they're more interested in shocking the public into believing in Peta again rather than being animal activists.

For Dem Lazies:

I'm not going to expand on it, and just allow you guys to contribute your opinions, etc, as I've work that needs being done.

I recently got MSN Plus because I was sick of [c=3] in peoples names and whatnot, and all it did was fuck up my messaging program (MSN, obviously.) and as a result I am searching for a new one, alot of my friends use several, and I don't talk to more than one anyways. I was wondering what programs other people use? Do you use email instead? Opinions? Wrong Forum? (probably.)

I know I don't, or rather never, post here very often, but I have an issue with my Laptop that I've been looking for help with:

A while ago my laptop was crashing randomly and upon reboot it would have lost all the sound drivers, any attempts to re-install etc were futile, my modem would not work either; A week later everything would be all better (quite peculiar, I thought). Then one day it just straight up and left, operating system and all, booting resulted in a black screen. Fans were working and all, I could hear them. I tried connecting an outside monitor to no avail.
Now its been repaired but a password is required to boot up, I've been told it has been caused by a password on a piece of hardware itself, could this have been caused during repairs? The shop claims to have done nothing involving a password.
Is there a way to bypass this without knowing said password, or do I need to replace the hardware (I've been told that a piece of hardware is "passworded" I don't consider myself a "techie" so I can't really tell if this is valid or not ... )
If it is something else please let me know.

My laptop was an Acer, by the way, if that's relevant at all.

 (Help would be greatly appreciated...)

I figured what everyone needed was to give a random internets person a makeover.
So get out photoshop or paint and you could win!
 The prize?:
The satisfaction of knowing you've won? Thats the best I can do.

Thanks to Catslacks for the one without the dragslide. Heh.

(Also I know im relatively new, but who cares, ok go.)
(And, for more brackets, I figured this belonged in General. So if it doesn't, I apologize.)
