What is SG:U about even, you just kind of opened a topic and said SG:U, discuss. Like I have no idea what this show is about except its on a spaceship, theres a fat computer nerd and a scientist who looks painfully like the scientist from BSG(yeah ive seen like half of an episode).   The idea of the stargate always felt really cheap and copoutish to me so if this series  becomes good and my hand is forced to watch it i hope they find some way to get rid of it.

I bought Saints Row 2 during the Steam sale yesterday, and fuck it is such an awful console port. The controls are terrible, I'm considering buying a gamepad just for that game because the controls are so bad.

iirc if you have a gamepad plugged in when you play sr2 it automaticly is stuck on pressing down on the dpad(its the game i checked online and other people had the same problem) it was just a terrible port and you're out of luck sorry.

Not really! most of the stuff thats fixed in mass effect 2 is not pertaining to what hundley was talking about. they made the combat system way better and removed mako which was pretty awesome but its still painfully linear and everyone in the universe is still like holy fucking shit its shep! also i really dont like how they pretend you can profoundly change the story through dialogue but really its all superficial and doesnt change anything.  I was really hoping in the second one they would make it so you could actually explore, nope but you can play a really boring minigame that excavates minerals from planets.

there's no shortage of homeless people here, i sure as hell can't give them my money.
if i'm downtown and they're sitting down with a can or hat or somethign I will outright ignore them, otherwise i will probably say "no sry" and keep walking.

good old vancouver town(unless im thinking of the wrong person). I never give any change, the homeless here have more than enough help and i see giving change to them as being an enabler. this might seem kind of cold hearted but ive seen guys with better clothes then me asking for my money.

I just saw this topic and let me tell you, it's pretty fucking insulting to an actual member of the Illuminati.

We're not some super-secret sect of government overthrowing goat murderers. Ever heard of the Masons? Secret societies usually aren't that secret. The Illuminati isn't a particularly small organization, either, and I'm not sure why it has such a bad rap. I mean, I'm aware of all the bad press about us and shit, but why is it so readily believed? Some of the founding fathers were members of the Illuminati. So what? Some of them were Masons, too, back when we got along.

Most of what the Illuminati does is fundraising for charities. Like any group of our kind, we have members in fairly high places. It's not like every Illuminati knows every person who's in the Illuminati, though. You'd be surprised the number of rumours we hear, and the genuine shock when we learn certain famous people are Illuminated.

I don't know, I don't want to get all pissy anout the whole thing but Illuminati aren't so bad. We don't control the world bank or anything, those guys are just rich dicks. Yeah, some of those rich dicks are in the Illuminati, but so what? Every group has dickheads in it.

Speaking of dickheads, does anyone else get the distinct impression that Yugoslavian Ghoul is a real dickhead in real life? Because I get that distinct impression. Seriously:

What are you, a Brazilian youth? Real fucking clever, bro, let's go throw back some brews.

edit: I guess if you guys have any serious questions about us I can try to answer them. I don't know everything, but I'm in contact with a chapter head and I can relay the questions to her and the answers back to you guys.

why did you join in the first place, i mean to me it seems pretty dumb. like what does being in this pretentious group offer you that hanging out with friends that dont wear dresses doesnt

What about Dragon Age: Origins.

I'm a little disappointed there's no topic on this board yet, despite it being a fucking amazing game.

Anyway, talk about overwhelming. I'm just shy of 30 hours into the game, and under my gameplay statistics it says I've only completed 10 percent of the game. Keeping in mind I've done all sidequests I could find so far. This is just ridiculous really, but the game is so cool I just don't mind whatsoever.

Get Dragon Age if you want an overwhelming but amazing game.

what? it isn't overwhelming at all. it's pretty much 100% linear, they tell you where to go and you go there. I dont really understand how you can be overwhelmed at all.

I don't know if theres any truth to it but i've heard a lot of computer science/software engineering jobs are outsourced to India and China. Maybe instead of getting your masters learn Mandarin.

I'm just wondering, is the book you're reading a horror book? From what I hear and have read Anne Rice usually just writes homerotic supernatural type stories.  As for reccomending sci-fi/horror books, I don't what to tell you since you said you like Stephen Kings writing and i find the bulk of his work pretty awful(excluding The Stand and some entries in The Dark Tower).
