Here are some bands/albums to check out:

Kreator - Pleasure to Kill
A seriously agressive thrash album. This album has influenced many death metal bands, and still holds its place as one of the fastest thrash albums ever.
Cynic - Focus
Death metal intertwined with various jazz, world, and even slight electronic music influences. Features varying time signature changes, "sythesized" and death-style vocals, and some very interesting guitar work.
diSEMBOWELMENT - Transcendence Into the Peripheral
Despite the fact that these guys are called doom metal, diSEMBOWELMENT put forth much more than just slow, doomy tunes. When they're not playing at their slowest, they bring the tempo way up, occasionaly moving into both death and black metal realms. Aside from that, they manage to uphold a dark, almost suffocating atmosphere using clean guitars (you'll see what I mean), as well as various ambient effects. The vocals also range from both a low death metal growl to a black metal rasp.
Drudkh - Autumn Aurora
Melancholy, atmospheric, and quite minimalistic. Do not listen to this album expecting to hear any harsh vocals, crushing guitars, insane drumming, or anything of that sort. This is black metal in the slightest sense, but a fantastic album regardless.
Virulence - A Conflict Scenario
If Cynic was angrier and a bit more "all-over-the-place", this is probably what it would sound like. The melodies and riffs can really get strange, and the vocals only consist of pure screaming & pig grunts. Really melodic at some points and pure noise at others...

Regardless, what's your opinion on this game?  I'm hoping it'll break the WII IS FOR CHILDREN stereotype but if the actual game elements are neglected like K7 then I'm going to move my hard earned preorder money somewhere else.

I think the stereotype was broken with Manhunt 2 back in October, but this game looks like it will be able to support that notion (especially if the company decides to make it "hard core").

As for the game itself, it definitely looks like GTA, but with awesome katana action. I just hope there's more to the game that will separate it from GTA.

Doesn't look like it's coming out on any other platform though...

Most of Mozart's solo piano pieces are very relaxing, especially Fantasy in D Minor (K.397) and Piano Sonata No.15 in C Major (K.545).

Demilich - Great death metal band from Finland. Only released one album, but all of their music (including the album, as well as demos and live recordings) can be downloaded for free on their website. Has some of the most deepest, bowel-levitating vocals I've ever heard.

Crionic - Heavy/thrash metal from the Czech Republic. Earlier releases are generally thrash-oriented. As with Demilich, they only released one album, but Crionic is still active (though nowhere near as thrashy as they were in the early '90s). All of their music is free as well, except it is all encoded at 128k. That stuff aside, check out their album "Different" if you're into thrash.

Acid King - Straight-up doom/stoner metal from San Francisco. They have 1 minute samples for all of their songs, and 5 or 6 whole tracks available for download. One of the few doom bands I've heard which has a female vocalist.

Heathen - Good old Bay Area thrash. All of their stuff is free except for their newest compilation album (which only has samples).

I'll post some more when I feel less lazy.

I remember I woke up thinking my cell was ringing when it was actually my alarm clock which was ringing. I then searched for my cell (which took a minute or two), opened my cell, realised that my cell was off and that it was my alarm clock which was making all the noise, shut off my alarm, and went back to sleep.

I got to school 3 hours late.

Life is good. I am growing up and stuff; I'm a guidance counselor at a high school and have a kid on the way. Not completely mature though... clearly... considering my name is mayor boytouch. Chef's still here too. I've let him know you're back... but I don't think he's around right now since he's not responding.

I think you're mature enough...just don't ever tell your kid you called yourself Mayor Boytouch :P

Thanks for messaging Chef too.

Also, I'll try to get on irc once in a while.

I'm doin' alright. I would've came around more often, but I just got caught up in a lot of shit.

Good to see you're still around though. How's life been treating you?

Hello. I'm not new or anything, just never came around often, and I think I haven't been to this site in almost a year. However, I recently got back into RPG making, so I figured I'd check out what's happened to the whole game making "scene" since I've been away.

By the way, I used to frequent RPGinfinity alot back in '04 to '05
