This is really cool so far! It can't have been easy to painstakingly recreate all the scenes with blocking and everything, not to mention the custom systems. What did you use as a reference, did you play FF7 on a console or emulator while working?

Speaking of custom systems, good luck on the Golden Saucer, I expect that'll take a hell of a lot of ingenuity to pull off satisfactorily in RM.

if you want more sandboxy shit, there's also haven & hearth, also wakfu which is in beta now and is actually kinda cool, it's like a combination of ff tactics and harvest moon.

it's p. swell of them to include the first bundle as a bonus, def got my money's worth and then some. they've pretty much secured my cash for every bundle that comes in future.

Not sure that this was marketed as a children's show, but one of my favorites as a child and now is Ren and Stimpy.  It's so perfectly demented that it gets me laughing every time.

what's funny about this is once they made ren & stimpy without the threat of censors (i think they did a few eps for spike tv??), the result was pretty terrible, the vulgarity went through the roof but the humor just wasn't there. this is a good example of writers having to be more creative when they're reigned in i guess.

the 3 big Stephen Spielberg cartoons are really good. Animaniacs, Freakazoid, and Pinky & the Brain were all ridiculously awesome. The same sort of humor leaked into Tiny Toons, as well.

stuff
i feel this is p. accurate. the focus on amateur games brought in a lot of talent in very different fields. sprite artists, photoshop gurus, musicians, and programmers to name a few. i'm sure that without the thread of game making there would still be talented people coming in, but more than likely they'd stick to posting in a single board, and as a result it may not be as unified as the old GW seemed to be. idk

Ok smartass. O_o

Hi if you don't know how to code beyond RM babbyscript and don't know what a pathfinding algorithm is maybe you shouldn't offer your services so confidently

Just saying, good luck

I might give this a try. It looked interesting but I've never enjoyed the prospect of sinking money into a time-sink.

if you are going to play persona 2 PLEASE play persona 2: innocent sin and tell me how it is!

finding an iso might take some digging but L@@K:

http://tsumi.wordpress.com/ !!!!!

i've managed to play that on my psp. took a bit of tweaking to keep it from freezing at battle loads, but it wasn't too hard.

as for the game itself, it's pretty good. unfortunately though, the competent narrative is constantly interrupted by long grinding sessions for experience and tarot cards.

It's a JRPG and don't forget it, but it's not bad for one. It hasn't aged too well though.

also wasn't Magi Station some game that came way after Pokemon something else like Harry Potter and tried to cash in on the success of both

sorry, missed that. :v

Magi Station i dunno, MagiNation is more like magic the gathering or yugioh. it was def a cashout looking back, but it was still fun when i was a kid.
