But a game about Jesus doesn't have to star Jesus. You could just as well go to before he was a newborn and every infant were ordered to be slaughtered to kill Jesus and see the game through a family that tries to escape this order, much as Josef and Mariah did.
Actually, that's a really interesting concept.

Well done, sir.

Dude, you're venturing into some dangerous territory making a game about the bible. I don't mean in terms of people getting mad, which of course some fantatics might, but this is the internet. More, you have to make sure that what you're doing is in the spirit of the bible in one way or another. For example, I'd argue that an RPG about Jesus would inherently suck because the RPG genre has absolutely nothing to do with the New Testament. Sure, you could give all the disciples different spells and skills etc etc and make a cool party system - but then there's the problem of Jesus: He doesn't fight. I mean, he gets mad, knocks over a couple money changer carts and what have you, but on the whole a game in which a basic mechanic is battle, Jesus would be completely out of place as a lead role. I mean, he drives away the devil by quoting the Old Testament - not to mention the fact that if you're adapting the bible's story, you've got four gospels all telling you different versions of Jesus and leaving you going fhsdgfhydsfsd WHICH ONE IS REAL?? And I mean, if you're going for John's Jesus, he can do just about anything.
So, unless you've got another genre in mind, the New Testament is out right off the bat.

Now Moses, he'd probably kill a dude or two.

Alright, fair enough.

That said, I played the demo today and totally fell in love. Really excellent work so far.

I was once a big Alexisonfire fan (and by "once" I mean "like a year and a half ago") and I got into City and Colour  through that and I sort of fell out of love with them around the same time I became super disenchanted with that entire genre, but here's the thing with City and Colour:

Dallas Green has a fantastic voice. Really he does. The problem is all his songs are him bitching about nothing in particular besides "his troubles" with little reference to what they ARE. There's this one song where it's like "I should start drinking so I won't have to deal with my troubles" and it's just pretty lame really.
I'm also pretty sure he has songs about how miserable and lonely he is on the same album as the tribute to his girlfriend.

EDIT: Oh shit I forgot to check the date on the last post sorry about the bump.

Hey, on the subject of this game, can anyone suggest who I give the Bardsong Augment to? I originally gave it to Tellah so I could use the sleep lullaby thing in the Tower of Zot (to get rid of those very same ice monsters). I lost my cartridge shortly after and I recently replaced it, and don't know who I should give the stupid Augment to this time around.

Could you make a version where I can put four lines of text in a message box, rather than the three it now seems restricted to?

A Clockwork Orange
I'll admit it's not the best film for being pretty inaccurate to the book it's based on, but after I watched it I started loving classical music and I became completely obsessed with Stanley Kubrick.
I was hoping someone would beat me to the punch on this, though I read the book a few months later, and it did just as much for me.
