Hello, I'm new here..sorta.
I used to visit gamingw.net, mostly game development boards quite regularly some years ago after don miguels boards went down. I just started to miss those times and was suprised to see gamingw gone and this site popping up instead.

..not much else to say as an introduction.. nice to see some familiar user names, although I doubt that many remember me :-P

How active is this site anyway?

I think youre over/reacting.. I havent heard any such statements as the game being shitty because of fat charas. Theyre however like 99% of the time comic relief guys. Besides, Tekken already had a fatguy, Ganryu, no problem.

And I think this Bob for example seems to be quite popular among players. I think he is the most played of the new cast of characters based on what Ive seen. No dissing there.

Sorry to ask, but are you perhaps fat yourself? since you take some little feedback so personally?

GNR "tributes" are all around MMX, just check the fifth one for example. Bosses names more specific, Axle, Slash, Dizzy.. I]ve heard the music composer was heavily inspired by GNR at least in the earlier games.

I think it]s pretty cool.

This game is very addictive. (my addicted level at the moment is "weekend rolled in", or something like that) Physics really add so much to this game! Just bumping onto random people has never been this satisfying! Feet moving according to enviroments looks a little funky at times (every staircase) but it's a nice detail.

On surface this game looks like every other GTA so far, but there are tons of little stuff that really set this higher. I'm finding something new all the time, just few hours ago I crashed onto some concrete block and Niko actually flew through the windshield!! Only negative I can think are the camera(especially with cover-mechanic) and keeping up with social connections. I don't really see the point in dating someone in a videogame. But of course it's not mandatory, so all is fine.

With network game... My game is never able to connect online games, other people have this problem? I've got PS3-version.

For me it's Devil May Cry 3 for sure. In fact I think DMC 3 is one of the best games I've ever played. Even though 4 has more advanced fighting sys, better gfx, etc. I simply love the story and general over-the-topness of 3rd one. I don't really have any issues with DMC 4, only I miss Dante riding missiles and playing guitar. Also Dante vs Vergil is a lot more engaging than some random geezer.

I've also played the first one but don't really remember much, it was a great game, but still 3,3,3,3,3,3,3,3..

EDIT: I don't really understand the complain of repetitiveness in DMC 4, people don't realize that Dante was running the same hallways in DMC 1 and 3 too? (never played 2) Only in DMC 4 it's more obvious because of the linearity of stages and the character swap. But even so stages in 4 are way more varied than in earlier games.

Chaotic Evil Halfling Ranger

Rangers are cool and all, but this means I'm some crazed mean midget doing little mischiefs in forest?

Well for one it doesn't look like Dragon Ball one bit. So yeah, it looks terrible Dragon Ball movie.

Of course I never expected it to look like one. From day one I've been waiting for something along these lines. I don't mind, I'll propably get few laughs out of this, but some hardcore-teenage-DBZ-fanbois are screaming with each new shot revealed.

Ahah! Those are horrible, I never could have told they're from DB-movie apart from that kame-uniform. This looks more like Mortal Kombat. Who is that guy in that orange-gi anyway? It's not Chatwin, is it? and why is that costume made that way? In Dragon Ball it's just normal orange-gi with normal wristbands and kung-fu shoes, but apparently they had to make it cool. I suppose that blue shirt underneath weights hundreds of kilos as in the show.

Can't wait for Dragon Ball: The Movie: The Game!!

^ yea you could use wii-mote as a spray can!! It would be pretty cool otherwise too.

I saw this in motion and all the animations are really off.. It looked like the impact of ball hitting the racket is missing. Tennis ball is just floating there. I think this uses the engine of Virtua Tennis which is quite a big plus though. don't know that many of these characters so I've got no intentions of buying this.

Also reeks Mario Tennis very very much.

I'm actually sad that this isn't real, yea it would have been real awful and all that but it looks pretty fun ha ha. I wonder if IGN tried to make serious Zelda movie or if it was something that Uwe Boll would have created. In any case it's really a great prank. It would have been so easy to create some boring 10 second teaser showing some shadows and such, but they actually went through all this trouble!

If you can't tell I'm not much for cartoons haha.
What is that supposed to mean??
If you mean anime (and cartoons) is kiddy-shit, I see one anime portrait right below your name..

Akira maybe not so incredible today, (I think it still ranks up high with all the anime, even though I'm not much into cartoons either haha) was very cool and original when it first came, and directing is in my opinion top-notch. Ending was cool too.

haha, this's great!! I always thought Megaman X music was amazing.
Flame Mammoth and Strom Eagle are the best from that list.

My favourites in mmx series would be intro stage (highway) and Zero theme, I'd love to hear them.

Akira is the first anime I ever saw, it's still my favourite so I'm definitely looking forward to this. Eventhough I don't like the changes like New Manhattan I guess it makes more sense to have American actors in US rather than Neo-Tokyo.

I'm surprised Japanese haven't made a live-action from this yet (same as Dragon Ball), seeing as it's quite big.

oh yea, a werewolf, wtf?

But is it Sonic turning into one or maybe just a new Sonic-copy villain in the same vein as Mecha Sonic, Metal Sonic, (Shadow) etc. It does look like it's Sonic's transformation with that shadow linking the 2.. That's pretty dumb.. My guess is that it just makes Sonic slower and maybe able to punch, slash (if he already can't), maybe Knuckles' climbing ability. Unless this gimmick is very clever in the gameplay, I'll just look down to it.

I agree with Jester, looks like holding right is the key to victory or maybe running is automatic? Graphics look nice when everything is going really fast, but that's all good I can see. Also this isn't really re-inventing the series, maybe in story department dunno, but this looks just like those GBA side-scrollers. I do like Sonic games which stick to 2d, but this time I'd rather see a working 3d-game!! I know Team Sonic doesn't know how to make games, but it's not like anyone expects anything anymore either.

^ I don't understand

I don't know all that much about Batman, but the change in Batman/Bruce voice isn't just to fool people about his true identity. It's supposed to be one more element to his role. I think in Year One(?) batman roars some African lion roars or something.. you know, to freak people out.

Also I think the change in his voice(in Batman Begins) was quite big rather than a slightly deeper and raspier voice. Like he was almost growling all the time.

Well I don't know how the case really is, I understand next to nothing about these things. I was just passing time like a year ago reading this science magazine where they said universe is actually shrinking(not the right word, more like pulled together) instead of expanding as they used to think. There was also some talk that Einstein's theories might be bullshit in the end or don't follow the same laws with dark matter.

In any case, I get the picture that no person really knows a shit. It's just talk.

Also would this be a result of the universe's expansion, or what?
Actually universe is shrinking. I read some study about dark matter and blah blah, it looks like everything is pulled together or something like that. They used to think everything is expanding but then there was something in dark matter that made some einstein relativity theories and such go  :blarg:

These news don't really interest me in anyway. So there is even more emptiness in emptiness, great.

I saw the trailer some time ago. I'm not all that interested really. I am a huge fan of Resident Evil (didn't like 4 though) but I hate the fact that it's CGI. I wish Capcom made an actual live-action one. CGI would be okay if it was super photo-realistic but this really isn't the case here.

Still I expect this to be better than those Milla Jojojojojovich (whatever) movies. Those were terrible (haven't seen the 3rd), in second I liked Jill Valentine, but other than that they've been utter rubbish. Even when looking them without thinking RE-games they look really bad. Bad directing, bad script, bad everything. I don't find them entertaining in the least and I usually like mindless crappy action movies.
