I support Newcastle.

Things aren't going my way lately. Just as well i'm a low level fan. I can't even remember the last time i watched a match from start to finish.

I tried weed but i evidentally got it wrong cos it did bot all for me. Apparently i was just holding it in my mouth, but it was the first time i've ever smoked, so can't be helped i suppose.

I drink though. It kind of annoys me, but i do enjoy it. I hate the get drunk all the time MUST GET DRUNK attitude, and drunk people are just the worst, but i do like to get properly wrecked now and then. Once a week tops.

I played a bit of a FFIX level one game recently, and it's fun until you realise that essentially you're following a guide. If you can do it without one then fair play, but there's so much you could miss and only regret it ages after. It's not the kind of thing, sadly, that you can just recover from as you go.

Challenges are fun to issue yourself though. I do my best in games not to 'play by the numbers', that is, not to rely on knowledge of stats and things to play games. This is one of the things i don't understand about people who love World of Warcraft and stuff, the way you fall back on learnt formulae and so on. It's more fun, i find, to, for example, to use the weapons you enjoy using the most than to quickly switch to the one that'll make the area you're in as easy as possible.

This is one of the things that makes those challenge games on final fantasy stupid. It's not about skill or anything like that, it's about knowing exactly which very specific boxes to tick.

The only way i can see this movie serving any kind of function is as being a sort of challenge to watch. That'd be where the enjoyment would come from, if you weren't just really into torture.

I don't care if they ban this from shops, but i'm pretty sure owning it isnt illegal in itself? If people want to see it then order it in, nobody'll care, I'm not sure your average highstreet shop would've had this in stock anyway. It's just sort sort of bad that people could make money out of what seems to have no worth outside of encouraging extreme violence as a form of entertainment.

That said, i'm completely in favour of freedom of speech. THAT said, i wouldn't allow the distribution of that hypothetical simulated child porn mentioned earlier. It's difficult because of that infamous seperation of imoral and illegal. In an ideal world what'd happen is that it'd not be banned but shops wouldn't stock it on moral grounds.

I bought all 4 Alien films, the first of which is one of my favourite movies , and so i've been enjoying them and a vast amount of bonus features.

They're all have their high points, but the third and fourth (especially, i find, the third) are sort of bad. The first sequel is a great laugh but you just can't beat the original. What a film.

Seriously though, 40 hours of bonus features. That's insane.

Is this faintly topical or just a go to for kind of petty humour?

Real question is how the hell did that gossip site get this first.

I guess we have to wait to see if this is true.

All i can say is that if it is it feels really, really strange.

Waste not want not. My friend got a mobile from a shop bin, sweet find.

As for food, apparently Tescos in Leeds realised students were always going to do this and so they just left out thrown out food on the loading bay, or what have you. Second hand info mind, so i dunno.

I've never been to one but the whole concept of them seems really abhorrent and demeaning and i just couldn't support that kind of thing. That and I'd just feel like the biggest loser in the entire world if i went to one.

End of the day the strippers are the worst part of a, chances are, already horrible place to be.

Is three forward slashes Porcupine Trees new thing or something?

My interest in them, like many, has kind of petered off. They're a great band but, and maybe this is over lisening or just maturing, they don't seem as brilliant as they once did. Not in a 'their new releases arent up to scratch' way, but simply in the sense of their music not leaping out at me any more.

Also Steven Wilson is really pretentious, with his whole stupid Ipod vendetta, and perhaps a dick?

Still, we shall see what they can manage.

I've been following, but not commenting on this really horrid development.

Steel, obviously you can't read this now but when you get better I want you to read this and realise just how fucking appalling you're making us all feel right now. Get well soon, mate.

I saw this tonight and i cant add much more than the general consensus of 'fun as a stupid action film but one of the stupidest films ever'.

I'm just astonished how human friendly Skynet actually appear to be, especially their MOTORBIKES which are completely functional for human use if you press a few buttons.

(on a seperate note, some absolutely astonishing product placement for sony).

I used to have one of those cartriges with about 20 games on and the real stand out game, in so far as the time you could spend with it, was Bubble Bobble. I heartily recomend it.

I really recomend Clock Tower for the Snes, but do the cliche and play it in the dark with no distractions. It should be good and frightening.

The music's pretty rotten but the video was well done. It fitted the song and it was well directed.

Felt like it got weaker after about a quarter of the way through though.

Well now you've made it awkward because i want to wish you well and good luck but the god thing's a load of rubbish. However, if i point this out, as i just did, that makes me into someone trying to rob a cancer victim of hope.

Not a good thing to be.

Good luck!
