I'm replaying the game due to a small trick by my friend requiring a system restore and making me lose all of my RM Games and savefiles and... I'm even more amazed by this game.

Now that I generally know how the games go, I regret that I did not explore as much as I did this time through. There is TONS of stuff, even if they don't reward you for looking (perhaps a Moon Herb or something) that easily show the best mapping of the game, and every little thing shows so much detail and nuance. I find myself going to Glendale after every sleep, just to see the man say "The weather gods should be fastidious about Thursdays" and then Fridays, and then Saturdays. Or going to the Royal Navy Base to see what are Ryan/Lavie/Armin/Henrik's opinions on joining the Navy. I just keep on saying "WOW! Admiral Styles really thought this out." This is definitely my top RM game of all time, and is definitely on my top 10 list of games in general of all time. I just can't believe how well the characters are made, how much detail is placed into this game, how many little references here and there and small jokes, and personalities (even for secondary and even tertiary characters) there are in this game. This is not fanboyism: I cannot stress how much I believe Mr. Nemo is wrong. This is simply an amazing game.

Believe me, after playing this game a TON of other games will start to seem really mediocre.

Just saw C'est Lavie! Awesome! I was laughing so hard that my mom came up to see what was wrong =P.

Good work!

Oh... and Ryan sounds a lot older than he looks =P.

Finished the game. Can't wait till Act 2.

Story:
Not bad, mixing in the serious state of the Commonwealth with the carefree adventures of Ryan and sometimes a sprinkling of Lavie (that was actually fun!) was done well. Flows really well. Humour and seriousness was mixed very well in this game.

Characters:
Ah. One of my favourite parts. All of the characters were very well thought out and worked well together. They all spoke to each other in a lifelike manner. One touch I find considerable for some reason is pauses in the text when the character should be pausing. That really helps with the flow of the talking. I also liked how they all had expressions, and it was a nice touch to make Lavie change from Annoying to Annoyed. The only character(s) I felt hadn't distinguished themselves were all the mothers. Obviously, Ryan and Armin seem attached to their mothers, but the mothers seem so generic. Lavie's grandmother was much better done, in my opinion.

Gameplay:
Challenging enough for me to have to redo the bird thing at the ruins more than a couple of times =P. I liked Lavie's mini-game a lot. It was hilarious (especially the headmaster and his son XD) and fun to do. I really liked the interaction between the characters and their environment. Being able to talk to the people in towns while they changed what they said from time to time really rocked, and I found myself talking to everyone with both Ryan and Lavie just to see what was different. I really liked the libraries too. Paz Cortez was just hilarious.

Music: Very good at parts, but not so good at others. I really liked the Lorean Gate music and some of the Mann Island Forest musics. I disliked others though, though I can't remember which. It was overall well executed though.

Graphics: Never seen the main character facesets before! There was a mix of RTP and Rudra facesets too that I found kind of strange right after playing some Aurora Wing (especially Katie = Sarah. Totally different characters). Maping was done well, and I find especially well in the Mann Island forests.

Overall: AWESOME game.

This game is, like, so totally sexy.

LaW, huh, yeah! What is it good for? Absolutely everything!

^^

Now if only I can find out why I get no music when I play RPG Maker 2000 games... :(

Check your volume controls. Your SW Synth would be either muted or at 0 volume.

Sorry for that double post ><. I didn't do it, the network did.

Downloaded the game.... And I'm in the beginning. I already have to say this: WOOHOO! There's so much interaction everywhere my head almost popped out in joy! Oh, and nice tunes from Chrono Trigger ^_^. And Davenport.... so many houses, it actually feels like a town! I'm going to continue playing and seeing if this is as good as I think it is!
