lol well I did also install it on my older pc with a 2.2ghz pentium 4 and a 6800gt card and even on the lowest settings it failed to deliver co-op play at all :P  But my main rig played it on full without any problems which surprised me for a port.

meh I played GOW 1 when it came to the pc and though it was somewhat pretty with average if not repetitive game play.  Then I saw the all the trailers and junk for the second and only had one question: you sure that isn't the first one?  Really graphically its a duplicate and gameplay wise I see little to no major changes/additions.  As far as horde goes didn't Epic release a certain game called UT2k4 that had this type of co-op endless enemy waves gameplay already?

The good thing I can say for it is at least it had some solid programing going into it as there were none of the random crashing/bugs that pops up in almost all new releases over the past 3 years...

Processor: +AMD
Memory: +Kingston
Graphics Card: +nVidia
Sound Card: +M Audio Delta 1010lt (What? I'm a musician and it rocks plus it has 10 channel output....)
Case: +Cooler Master

Sure I may only use that sound card for recording but I could use it for 10 channel surround sound and heck everyone loves phantom power.

I agree that it is most likely your hard drive beginning to fail and that backing up would be smart!  That said also run the comp with the case open and double check that there aren't any wires getting nicked by the fans.

Crysis is much like Farcry (hold the flames).  They made something that can be pretty but its got some seriously sloppy programing and varies a ton from system to system.  I wouldn't worry to much about whether or not your system can run it smoothly as most of the fault lies with Crytek.  Sadly this lack of testing/optimization is becoming par for the industry :(

On a happy note load up COD4 and watch as even the lowliest of systems makes pretty textures and explosions!

The above is right your just missing drivers for the mobo and vid card(s)

I'd just like to butt in with an 'in case this happens again scenario'

There is no virus that requires a reformat!  Get some anti virus protection on there (heck AVG and several others are free) and in the future don't be so hasty to reformat.  If you can't fix it then google your problem and find one of the many malware forums that can help you out.

Sorry but after 'reviving' several work computers when everyone else says reformat or *shudder* use system restore (far worse than a virus IMO) malware is a bit of a touchy subject for me ;)

Just remember viruses are like video games only more satisfying when you win!

Been trying out the David patch recently and I just want to say THANK YOU!!!! This really makes editing the DBS much less tedious.  The message box having the correct line was a nice touch as well!
