are you into minimalistic techno and house?

im a fan of a select few electronic genres, namely those two, psychedellic trance and ambient psytrance, some club trance (Tiësto's In Search of Sunrise mostly), some electro and to some degree electro house... Funky house I would like but I haven't really gotten my hands on something, but from the little I've heard it's definately something I'd groove out ot.

I don't really know what genres to consider the techno I enjoy, I'm rarely disappointed with any new techno I listen to. I'm sure I've listened to at least a million different styles, but I just don't know how to categorize them. Meh.

&& Concerning my love of colors, I get bored with plain black text from time to time, believe it or not, so it's always fun to throw in some color. :o)

Well I like a lot of alternative/indie rock, if you can really consider that rock, and any kind of techno, really. I pretty much like anything I can chill out to. I can't listen to too much metal or screamo types, though, because that's like scraping my brain out with a fork or something. Blah.

But as I said, my tastes are rather varied, so as long as it's music, I'll probably find some way to enjoy it at least a little bit.

Currently I've been listening to Nickel Creek, Jonathan Coulton, Brandi Carlile, DJ Hype, and of course Cypress Hill, because their music is always hilarious to me.

Thanks for all the welcomes! :D

My music interests are pretty varied. I can't say that I have a favorite band or anything, but my favorite genres include certain subgenres of rock and techno mostly, and I'm a sucker for pretty female vocals regardless of genre.

It is in reference to a show on American television called "Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader" hosted by Jeff Foxworthy. Ther are also some other variations of it airing in other countries.
That pretty much explains it. It was just something that came to mind. :]

Hello GW!

The name's Tabie.
I'm your everyday game-playing, giraffe-obsessed, web-designing loser, who happens to be smarter than a 5th grader.

After a few days of hiding in the background collecting information and opinions from the topics here, I figure I might as well join you guys and share some input of my own. So perhaps I can be of help to someone in this forum community.

I'm currently testing out RM2k3, which I suck pretty bad at, but hopefully I'll get used to it and learn a thing or two hanging around here.

So, that's about it.
See you around.
