nuffin much
Hey everyone look at Atma Busters(Jr is a lonely fag) sig.
nuffin much
Yes youve got to unlock the secret job which is the chef job then you hafta make the recipe dragon cookies and sell them to kain from final fantasy 4 after that he joins you party but is only lvl1 and dies in one hit you hafta fight 200 battles with him and protect him from dieing after he thanks you and teaches you the way of the dragoon.
....Yes grind.
I wuv hong kong seems like they tell it like it is unlike famitsus 39/40
well the wiegraf fight was really easy if you came prepared. if you were say a lancer you could just jump at him a few times, a wizard however had to hide in the corner and cast spells whenever he could. monks also just ran up and punched a few times. As long as you avoided his summon it was a pretty easy fight (of course equipping rubber boots or whatever to lessen his lightning stab was almost necessary)
also i think immakinganaccountk is referring to the final fantasy tactics advanced series not the original
Oh good god, don't you dare say Final Fantasy Tactics requires strategy. It doesn't.
Tactics 1:
*casts best spells & quickens and casts best spells again*
Tactics 2:
*hits enemy a few times and then casts best spells when mp is charged (or just use an ether)
AND THEY FUCKING REMOVED THE MULITPLAYER IN A2 THE LAZY PRICKS

final fantasy tactics advance
and some games i cant remember...
i was talking to jr
baten kaitos.
which i have also never played.
lets just say i haven't played any jrpgs and am just making broad assumptions from things i read on the internet
(or that my little brother plays lots of jrpgs)
final fantasy tactics doesnt count because its a strategy game more than an rpg
never played grandia or the shin megami series (well i played demi kids I think it was called but that was also CAST BEST SPELL/AUTOATTACK YOU WIN!!!) so maybe you win this time
I'd also like to remand my previous statements the Pokemon series has a lot of in depth strategy in say the battle tower and metagame but if its just a normal battle then your level 96 charizard is going to beat misty no matter what with whatever attack, but yea the EV and IV and the choice of moves and type bonuses and special abilities and all that is very in depth. Pokemon series for best rpgs!!!
I onyl said Chrono Trigger was the best jrpg of all time because I hear it a lot I don't actually know!!
*mashes x, character is actively doing something on screen*
*presses x, character casts fire II, wait for characters next turn, press x*
One of these is inherently more interesting than the other
also the "strategy" you're talking about is *CAST FIRAGA III* but don't tell anyone
like seriously even in chrono trigger THE BEST JRPG OF ALL TIME or whatever in the final battle all I found myself doing was *cast best spell, heal/revive, repeat* yay for the complex strategies!!!!
heck even in FABLE i find myself rolling around and defending and waiting for the opportune moment to strike which is more strategy than firecannon XII *deals 992 fire damage*
and Morrowind I have to plan things out carefully cause I play sneaky characters with few combat skills on hardest difficulty so even the first cave with the smuggles in it is a painful ordeal ("okay now that I stole this sword of paralysis and have a ring that grants invisibilty I will be able to paralyze the one with the spells while I try to kill the guy with the huge axe OH GOD I SHOULD HAVE PARALYZED THE AXE GUY MY STRATEGY IS POOR)
so much for your "more strategy" argument, heh heheheheh hehe heh
edit: like honestly the most strategy i think ive found in any rpg (besides strategy rpgs like fire emblem) are like Craze/!\'s rpg maker games and its pretty bad when the best example of a piece of your genre is from RPG MAKER
ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha wow.
have you guys heard of um dnd
it's not particularly violent beyond what you've already seen, but yeah it is not very happy. there are a couple obnoxious perky characters, but the game does a pretty good job of straying further away from than that most bullshit jrpgs.
pretty much if you liked final fantasy 8, give it a try, but if you hated final fantasy 8, stay very far away
read my post above this one. this is not what lost odyssey is like at all.
the game is actually extremely similar to final fantasy 8, but with a lot less dynamic action. it's still a pretty decent game, and definitely worth it for people who are big into rpgs, but don't go into it expecting things like what happens in that clip.
(actually i have no idea if you were being sarcastic in that post, come to think of it)
LOST ODYSSEY! Amazing way to introduce the epic war protagonist, Kaim
