Yeah, this movie was pretty cool, I'm going to see it again this weekend. Didn't mean to sound like a dick. I guess the black hole thing is annoying to me because if they did more with it it could have made the storyline a little more interesting. Like, I didn't hate the movie just for that, it was more a personal thing. Not that I am a physics genius or anything, but I have seen much better interpretations of time travel in science fiction movies. Basically, it was dumbed down like every other major film and that bothers me.

I will easily forget about this rehashed sci-fi movie. It was pretty bad.

I know I said this. . .meant to say the plotline was pretty bad. Good movie, average plot.

This movie was filled with plot holes. I couldn't point them out if you asked me to, but I could literally sense the plot falling apart as I watched it. It's like halfway thru production they were just like, "Screw continuity, we'll just make sure new and improved Kirk takes all the attention away from the lack of any sense in the main storyline and we're good to go!"

Why did Kirk randomly come across Old Spock on that ice planet?!?!? It was like they added him in at the last second and just spliced it into the film.

Also, when will hollywood stop using unadulterated black holes as time travel devices? You can't just pilot your spaceship into a black hole and expect to go anywhere other than CRUSHED IN A SINGULARITY. (I was actually surprised they used the word singularity at one point. Of course, that was the perfect time for McCoy to give his old "I'm a doctor, not a damned physicist!" speech. Even though a singularity is obviously the point of infinite gravity at a black hole's center that makes it what it is, every high school grad should know this today. . .are doctors really still gonna be stupid in the distant future?.)

I will definitely see it again just for the special effects, though. However, in a few years when they are obsolete I will easily forget about this rehashed sci-fi movie. It was pretty bad. Not that I didn't expect it to be.

King Tetiro, that particular screenshot does seem a little claustraphobic. I would like to enjoy the rest of the graphics like window and door sprites. But, it's not like the rest of the town is exactly like that, besides that sort of town mapping can be pulled off in certain cases. It can make it seem denser.

Bandito, I kind of like those chars. They are different and seem to fit the chipset. I wouldn't change them even though some people will say to.

Nightblade's screen definitely looks much better. Nice job, man. All the little additions really add to it.

And yes, I would like my tax refund please sir! I am awaiting the next theme. (this has been really motivating for some reason.)

Thank you to all who say my screens look messed up!

I am attempting to improve my contrasting ability in a test game. I went ahead and studied some professional game screens before doing so to see the proper way of it. I think I am getting a much better idea.

Once I finish with this I will go back over my futuristic resources and try to salvage what I can before continuing.

Yeah. . .not dead by exploded brain nor on fire.

Guess his hair could use an outline. And he should probably be wearing a helmet besides. It is a laser gun battle after all.

Eww! Bugs!

I wanted to do more with it like make the chopped up dead soldier poses and more bugs but I'm really tired.

Corfaisus, that's some cool looking RTP mapping.

Thank you sir. I will remember that tip. I lightened the floors, looks much better though I will experiment more with darker buildings again.

Final version? >

Hmm that won't do. Thanks for pointing that out, I hadn't noticed but it's pretty obvious now that you mention it. I seem to have that happen a lot. . .will have to pay more attention. Is this better? I lightened the buildings and created new, darker walkways.

And this is a few faces that I've made recently as well, hopefully a bit of a step up from my last attempt though I'm sure they are still sort of "amateurish" looking.

Metropolis or space-port? You decide.

I'm having a lot more fun re-mapping Selva than I thought I would. It's gone from a 'city' with a small residential area and a couple of stores to having factories and manors. I've also made it look larger (more like a city) by adding little 'peeks' at different areas around the central city borders.

This just made me want to use RTP again. . . just when I thought I had kicked the habit.

I think it would look cool if you made the chimneys taller, like smokestacks. Would be a simple edit and make them seem more like factories. :)

Uhh, guys the world is going to end well before 2012 ever gets here. It has already started!

I can safely say that any movement involving destructive motives will not turn out well. I for one will hopefully be returning to normal life after a bit of a vacation in the mountains. Going to work will seem pretty pointless once this all really beings to play out in the way I see it.

Love and Peace!

I almost drowned twice when I was a boy. Luckily I was rescured both times (by the same guy,) and it was so long ago I don't really remember. . .I think my sister may have told me to jump off a dock into a lake or something (she hated me) and I was like "Okay!" Either that or she pushed me. The other time I went into the pool forgetting to put my floaties on first. That may have been from the brain damage caused by cerebral hypoxia from my previous incident.

Perhaps these are the moments that define my current day deep-seated fear of death. Occasionally I'll have a profound moment where I ponder my existence, and the thought of suddenly not existing at all for an eternity really freaks me out. That or slowly getting so old and feeble that you are basically not there at all anyway except for basic motor funciotns (IE Alzheimer's)

I am not sure which scenario frightens me the most. I do know, however, that one day we will conquer aging. Ironically the guy who accomplishes this will collide with a comet on his moon-bus trip to Mars to claim the exalted Methuselah foundation prize, obliterated instantly in the blast.

Oh yeah I almost forgot to mention that you never really die FOREVER because once the universe collapses into the big crunch and then expands again into a duplicate new universe you will be created all over again eventually (and make all the same mistakes again, too :)

I think that drug guy from the sixties wanted to get cryonically preserved since he had high hopes for the future, but once he got pretty old he decided, "WELL, FUCK IT" and was cremated.

I asked a pharmacist about the aloe vera thing. It is a real thing and is used for patients in chemo, but it's not the topical gel it's an oral liquid. He said that you can still find it that they used to sell it there, and I asked if it works, he said "I dunno." Also, the gel is useful applied to the skin if you get radiation therapy.

You will be fine, man. Don't be afraid. You can't  be, you have to have faith in our lord and savior Jesus Christ in heaven, he will release you from your sufferings. Believe in your inner strength and the natural power of healing through meditation. Focus on the positive. You are still here and it's never too late to get better, I know it will get better!
