You're probably better off not getting a sniper rifle. As much fun as it is to pick off enemies from a mile away, it gets far too easy very quickly and makes everything seem that much more repetitive when every battle becomes 'climb hill, snipe'. Grabbing a light machine gun or something and getting stuck into the action is generally a lot more fun.
