Yoshi Aficionado (10G): Ride all 4 colors of Yoshi.
Trailblazer (20G): Uncover every hidden path.
Star Walker (20G): Complete the Star Road.
You're So Special (30G): Complete all the hidden "Special" levels.
Scaredy Cat (10G): Exit every Ghost House immediately after entering it.
Turtle Stomper (20G): Defeat Bowser in 1 minute and 30 seconds or less.
Human Drill (20G): Complete a level using only the twirl jump.
Pyromaniac (20G): Destroy every defeatable enemy in a level with fireballs.

I think achievements are the greatest thing to happen to video games in a long time. It gives players the opportunity to pick up their favorite games and get something more out of them. I love doing little obscure things during normal gameplay and winning little increments of gamerscore. When I go back to my old favorite games from the SNES and PSX days, I really wish there were some achievements for me to collect along the way. For those of you who love getting achievements, I thought it would be fun to make up some achievements for the old games we played back in the day, some challenging, some easy, but none impossible (having to glitch the game to get, etc).

I'll start with an old favorite from SNES times.

Mortal Kombat

Hail to the Champ (15G): Defeat Shang Tsung on Normal difficulty or higher.
Usurping The Throne (20G): Defeat Goro in 20 seconds or less on any difficulty.
This Cat Has Claws (10G): Get a Flawless Victory in Sonya's Mirror Match.
Lumberjack (5G): Complete Test Your Might at wood level.
Stonecutter (10G): Complete Test Your Might at stone level.
Bender (15G): Complete Test Your Might at steel level.
Gemcutter (20G): Complete Test Your Might at ruby level.
Unstoppable Force (25G): Complete Test Your Might at diamond level.
Old Wounds (10G): Get a Flawless Victory against Sub-Zero while playing as Scorpion, or against Scorpion while playing as Sub-Zero.
Hidden Assailant (15G): Accept Reptile's challenge and defeat him.

As it turns out, I had apparently blocked something on the main forum page with Remove It Permanently and undoing said block fixed it.

Hello my good sirs,

I am having an issue in which the "General" forum category does not appear for me by default (I had to search "general" to get in here). Is this because I am a new member, an unpaid member, or for some other reason? I do not see the category at all, and I think there is another one missing as well. Would someone care to shed some light on this issue?
