*Do you feel a sense of community in your game?

Depends on the game I guess. In WoW there are two different sides so while you're not automatically going to be friendly with your own side, you're probably going to go into spaz kill mode when ya see an enemy player. The players are all pretty nice, of course there are asshole, but on the whole there's community spirit, and some genuinely nice players out there willing to help. Like real life I guess.

*How do you talk in, or about this game? (Are there message boards, chat, etc.)

There's world chat in most games, where ya can talk about the game (or anything), but most big topics, like new quests, mysteries, guides and stuff you'll fin don forums, both official and unofficial. Sometimes guilds have their own forums too.

*In your games, did you ever join a guild, or faction? Why? If so, did you also interact with people regularly that were not in this guild?

Yeah, I usually join guilds. I'm not about to go out of my way to join a guild, but would rather be in one than not. It's nice to have people to talk to, play with, fight with etc. Sometimes ya get free stuff out of it too.

*Do you share any in-jokes with people in your guild/game?

Yeah there's always in jokes. Most of them are pretty lame, but some of them literally make me lol. Most of the in jokes in the games I played were game-wide, or at least server-wide.

*What was your goal in this game? Is this goal similar to others who played this game?

To get to the point where I can kill anyone that pisses me off really.

Did you ever do anything like a dungeon party (raid)? Or another type of group activity? Who did you do this with?

Yeah. Did a few instances anyway in WoW, used to DP a loooot in Rappelz, cuz there's no better way to level up. Grinding by yourself is a really slow and shitty way to level. Castle wars on Runescape was fun. Ya just get thrown onto a team, and ya gotta defend a castle while trying to take another. Capture the flag really.

Were there any types of players you disliked? Why?

Noobs that refuse to learn and people who are just assholes. Especially if they're strong.

*How did you treat players that you disliked? How did you treat them or talk to them?

Usually call them names. On WoW I'd just cloak and stun them. Rinse, repeat. On a lot of games though PKing gets rewarded with negative effects

What do you consider to be 'noobish' behaviour? How do you feel about this?

Noobish? uhhhh not being able to work out the simplest of things. Walking around in completely mismatched armor. Making stupid mistakes. Annoying, but funny at times.

*How do you know a player is an expert?

The big names are usually well known. In rappelz there are famous people. They're always really high level. Tamers especially are famous cuz they're sought after so often for their services.

Was there anyone you avoided in game/were afraid of?

Red names in rappelz. If they got a red name they're probably strong, or stupid. dont really take my chances. My main is a healer though, so I can usually get by these guys no prob

What rules were imposed in this game? (i.e. no griefing, no swearing) Did you stick to these rules? What were the consequences?

Spamming is a no no usually, especially advertising. Greifing is punished. Swearing is filtered, but there are ways around that. In some games you'll be silenced forever for swearing too much.

*Were there words or phrases that you used in the game that you wouldn't use with a real conversation partner? (Is there any jargon specific to your game of choice?)

I hate it when people use lol in a real conversation. All sorts of game words sound stupid when theyre not written down

What class of character did you choose? What features of this character appealed to you?

I usually like healers, and cheap characters (*ahem* rogue). I guess I'm just a coward, but live to fight another day right?

*Do you treat the game world as a real place in your mind? (This question is a little bit abstract, answer how you will)

Well I know the game world better than I know my own town, so maybe.

Do your characters have different personalities?

Nah, not into roleplaying really. Course if i'm using a strong char i'll probably be more lippy.

So would you talk in real life as you do in the game?

I wudn't say so. My game language is usually pretty much broken english. cuz i'm too lazy to type properly most of the time, at 4am

Did you know anyone from both the game world and the real world? How do you think they were different?

Yeah. I've grown to know them through both internet and real life, so its hard to seperate their two different identities... uhh... I guess a lot more swearing on the net, cuz hey, who gives a shit right? whats the worst that cud happen

Did you ever roleplay in these games?

Pass.

What do you think of roleplayers?

Hey man, if pretending youre a furry turns you on do it. just dont be shocked when i crack my ass up laughing at you.
