Just saw this thread now. Thanks again for the trust!

Doros puts me to shame with his great XNA tutorials though. Very well done, dude!
Maybe I should make an effort to translate my german Construct beginner's tutorial and post it here.

I do give almost every new series a try. Many new shows have been rather disappointing lately, like UNDERCOVERS or the horrible LOST GIRL. But TERRIERS was the big surprise for me! Didn't have it on the radar at all and wasn't too excited after I watched the pilot tbh. But it just grew better and better. TERRIERS actually has good writing and characters you care about.

did anyone watch it? i mean heck, i sure do check all the shows out and shit it's better than the walking dead or dexter or something. maybe we should all stop watching those two.

While I wouldn't say it's better than DEXTER (nothing quite compares imo), it's definitely a hell lot better than the disappointing THE WALKING DEAD.

Actually I'm about to watch the season finale of TERRIERS tonight! Hoping for a good cliffhanger...

I was really hoping they'd do a new Naked Gun movie or thought I'd even heard about plans for one but yeah this blows anybody who doesn't like his movies kind of sucks

Also thought a new Vacation movie was coming out Chevy Chase don't die

Same here! Another Naked Gun movie would have been heaven.

Sad that he's gone, Leslie Nielsen was truly a comedy icon.

Welcome pal.

Have you ever finished any games before, or do you have any screenshots to show?

P.S. It's a good thing we moved our IRC channel to EsperNet. I'd love to see more people dropping by from #construct. :-)

A few examples from my projects:

Not really a fine selection, just what I happen to have sitting in my dropbox folder.
If you actually want to play something, the air gets quite thin. I may have been involved with some not so great projects in the past, so I'll not get into that. XD

But you can still try SLASHER BOY HALLOWEEN DEMO, which won me last year's Halloween competition on THE DAILY CLICK.

i've been curious about construct for a while, it seems quite similar to clickteam's stuff. give us the scoop!

I agree about the similarity. But Construct does many things right which are wrong with MMF. :)
Like a faster and hardware accelerated engine and the much better to handle event editor.  The only real advantage MMF still has is its flash exporter. And probably the upcoming iphone exporter. I still would never go back.

Hello everyone!

Feel a bit weird introducing myself, but I guess it's common courtesy, huh. ???

So I'm a german dude who likes to create his own retro(ish) games or at least attempts to do so. A passion probably caused by a serious childhood trauma from playing way too much NES.

While I used to use Multimedia Fusion for development, I'm a happy Constructor ever since I first tried that amazing tool. These are pretty glorious times for the non-coder types of wannabe gamdevs, like myself. You really should give Construct a try if you haven't yet! But enough advertising...

What else do I like?
I'm also a sucker for horror movies or genre cinema in general. With an especially weak spot for slashers and asian flicks. On the other hand I'm not so fond of the usual hollywood blockbuster canon. Not really my cup of tea.

And when it comes to music, well, I hate to match more nerd cliche, but I have to be honest don't I... So I mostly listen to 80s Heavy Metal. You aren't wrong if you think Manowar or Iron Maiden, although I usually stick to more underground stuff. And well, of course I don't hate on good retro game music either. :P

I do plan on getting to know this community and will have a particularly close eye on the Construct forum.
Looking forward to meddle around here with some kindred spirits!
