No, no it isn't. Final Fantasy Tactics's story was complex and filled with politics. FF12's story is filled with "Let's colleckt magik rocks lol", and watching stuff happen with a Senate (until they're disbarred), and an Emperor (until he's killed) from far away...and that's about it.
