nice to see ryu's eyes don't look like they're going to go firing out of his skull now.

man it's all looking great gameplay wise, but it's so hard to get used to the bulkiness of the characters.  Like I can't describe it, there's just too much movement going on I guess.

also what is that move that guile does in the first vid where he slowly swings his arm at fuerte and causes him to fall to his knees (and then he combos into what looks like a c.foward).  Is that shit unblockable?  That looks kind of cool actually.

that honda player is a beast, much better than the other guys he's playing, except for maybe the vega/balrog player. 

Vega is looking kind of bad so far.  I can understand maybe having a slow off the wall since that shit was wicked in ST but his spike is just way too slow, and so is his backwards hand spring thing.

So I bought the newest FF11 expansion for the Xbox and an Xbox hardrive off of ebay because my brother didn't have one. I'm not gonna get the HD for a few days so I can play yet but I need to know some things about FF11.

well you've already got the stuff you need but I feel the need to point out how much cheaper and better the game is on pc, but since you already have it on xbox i'd just stick with that.

There is pvp but it's not that great, unless they made some serious changes since I left the game years ago.  For pvp Guild Wars is probably the way to go since DN is always raving about it. 

The battle system is really just like FFXII, except you don't see an atb between your melee attacks, and things are more team based placing more restrictions on the individual player. 

oh yeah and shit can come after you from miles away if you don't use sneak

How is the game in general is it easy to lvl and get good gear?

 

no, this aspect is often what drives people away from the game since it's the only mmo that I know of where you can actually level down if you die too much.  Although, things are much much better than they were a long time ago, since SE added in a lot of neat extras that make leveling go by faster, like a bracelet that temporarily increases the amount of exp you get. 

Gear used to be very fucking hard to get, but it's much easier to get now.  SE made a lot of rare/ex versions of items (items you can't buy and can only have one of) that used to be ridiculously expensive, so it's less about farming for hours to get some item as it is camping a spot for hours to get some item (but the camping was considerably easier).

is it fun?

I would generally suggest staying away from mmo since this game in particular is several hundred days worth of time (split over the course of 3 years) that I won't be getting back.  However, if you are into mmos then I guess FFXI has everything you would want.  At least the grind is semi-interesting on the way to level 75 since all sorts of crazy shit will happen in parties.  There's tons of end game stuff that you get to do with alliances of people which a lot of people find appealing even though i got sick of all the organization and shit.

Way to grab one sentence out of several paragraphs and try to make a stand with it. Epic fail.

funny because one sentence is a lot in terms of street fighter's "deep" storyline (being mostly win quotes and second long endings).

And the reason we're discussing it is because I'm attempting to show that SF has a long and deep story and this new SF4 is ruining it. I realize alot of you casual fans don't care about story and that's fine I guess. But the more hardcore gamers like myself who have played the SF series since it first came out a couple decades ago care.

i mean i've traveled to enter tournaments for these games and all that jazz, but you don't hear me bitching about storylines.  heh guess im not like you hardcore gamer folk.

granted, mvc2 is the only game i could possibly survive tournament play in but i could still say i know more about super street fighter 2 turbo than you.  In fighting games, gameplay mechanics are way more important than storyline simply because they correspond to 90% of what people are actually doing in game.  9% fiddling in options menu, another .5% trying to make cool tunes moving the cursor around in the main menu then the rest going to that deep storyline you won't shut up about. 

even if you weren't arguing that storyline is more important than gameplay, you are still putting too much emphasis on it.  I would much rather have ono develop a nice, fun and balanced fighting game with some fresh new mechanics to add to the fighting game scene than making some maybe slightly longer ridiculous cutscenes in game that detract from gameplay. 

hell, so what if this game takes place between sf2 and sf3, any good writer could probably still make that work in a cool way, at least for street fighter standards.  Seriously if you think street fighter has a deep storyline go read a godamn book or something. 

i've never read the comics or anything but this movie was kickass

I'm also liking how they are giving so much detail to the stage as well, which was something that the ex series lacked very badly.

On a standing opponent:
Standing A, Standing C, QCB+A or QCF+A or QCFx2+A, B, C, or D. (Buster Wolf or Power Geyser whichever you want (in other words buster wolf))

On an opponent no matter what the much harder
Standing C, Down A+C, Crouching C, QCF+A or B, or QCFx2+A, B, C, or D.

Both combos work after a jump in if the jump in is a cross-up.

For fun Jae Hoon Combo:  ( I think this is corner exclusive but it might not be can't remember) J.A, J.C,(land) J.A xx D+B or D.

Also anytime you land a comet crusher and knock them midscreen and they choose not to quick stand you can get an easy cross up using j.A which can easily combo into another comet crusher or another BNB.

However in my case people just about always quickstand after getting hit by it which is ok, you can dash over them before they quickstand and put a standing A on top of them to go into a comet crusher.

Ok after playing a few playstation games I can, with a ball of fury tightly grasped by my fist, say that Legend of Legaia does NOT work, which sucks because I wanted to actually complete that game. 

Not so much that it doesn't work, just one single game breaking problem being that when you use an item in battle some effect won't happen.  This in turn causes the game to uh, I don't really know what to call it since it doesn't freeze so I'll say it gets stuck, with the camera spinning around whichever character used it forever.

So I'm playing Vagrant Story now since I've never beaten it, or even gotten all that far in it.  Also seeing as compression works wonders on it, from 733mb to 118, that's pretty astounding compared to the others.

No. You can simply upgrade to 2.71, and then afterwards downgrade to 1.50 from there.

I'm very behind on this entire psp hacking scene, so just wondering, do I still need an unpatched copy of GTA:Liberty city stories or whatever it's called to downgrade from a regular 2.60 psp to 1.5?
